#26 Sensitivity and wrist injury strawpoll in TF2 General Discussion

I played at 40 cm per 360 around that for years. I got involved in a small accident that didn't do too much but the same arm after playing a few scrims days after suddenly cramped up resulting in not being able to lift arm above shoulder for a week or 2.

Had physio for least year or 2 now and usually suggested that I do not use both arm and shoulder to play, which is a little bit of confusing/conflicting advice since I thought that higher senbse would give me worse rsi problems.

The doc suggested sticking to wrist movement and having stretches more physio etc. reduced to 27-33 cm range per 360 and don't play as often now.

Hope no one else had too problematic an experience.

Edit: Pains were in wrists, shoulder and pecs and arm in general. Nottt a fun year haha

#5 NEW ASIAN DM SERVER ADDED IN TFTV SERVERS SECTION in Site Discussion

Tested it with some people.

Capture points are turned on, random spawns don't work and stays on same maps for over a few hours resulting in really stuttery movement where the animations do not play on models. Needs work mate.

#4 Mainland China Ping Issue Fix Guide in TF2 General Discussion

Don't quote me on this as my mandarin is terrible.

But I think this has been running since 2012, iirc there was offical word at some point that they had no plans (in 2012) to monetize it at the time as they had enough resources to sustain it.

If that's true then you're looking green even for your wallet. I only wished I had support like this where I live haha

#2 Mainland China Ping Issue Fix Guide in TF2 General Discussion

Appears to be a vpn somewhat, This is pretty cool actually. The overseas function is supposedly free during it's testing period in the FAQ.

Should be safe since netease commercially launched quite a few games in china.

Good find!

#17 Moving to asia, need some info/advice about tf2 in TF2 General Discussion

Terry pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Shana pugs are more for seeing how much pain you can sift through to play a game considering the small community at times of day. Asiafortress pugs will net you better games on and off for the reason that Vetia has pointed out.

Best quality games are either in scrims with more dedicated players or mixes

To some extent I unfortunately do not completely disagree with terminal especially since he played a lot of Shana games. The overall player base is not amazing and this carries the feel into ugc as well (asiafortress seasons tend to be the bigger and more dedicated seasons of comp over here). Though I prefer if he played against others up the tree before forming that opinion.

In ugc for both 6s and hl there are generally only 1 or 2 "super teams" you look out for each season if you plan to win with the rest not really at the same level.

Also for the most of SEA we are plagued with routing issues regardless which part you are in, so much so that most dedicated players invest in a vpn.

Koreans have a dedicated HL scene, there is a small Taiwan 6s scene that I do not have too much experience with and the japs and Chinese have their own groups as well.

Playing to Australia is difficult (120 ms range maybe some packet loss with Von from Malaysia as an example) playin to eu may be impossible consistently.

Hope this helps and feel free to approach me, vetia or others for info

#3 mat_viewportscale - does it really increase fps? in Q/A Help

Most people seemed to have no luck with this cvar. In terms of resolution the only main thing seems to change things is aspect ratio and not the resolution itself. Usually the lower the FOV the higher the fps with same aspect ratios across low to high resolutions of the same category pretty much giving the same results performance wise

#8 Does this look like packet loss or something else? in Q/A Help

Looks like I'm having those small gaps no matter where I'm connected to. I would prefer direct ethernet as well but that's not an option for me atm (different floor). Will trial and error this, thank you for your help!
