Not every HUD will include every .res file, I recommend bookmarking the TF2BaseHUD (<3 Mana) and taking whatever files you're missing from there.

omniRemove all the if_ things if you want your background to be used constantly.

Also, make sure there isn't a custom black image panel sitting around in your file. That might be causing it.

I have removed all if_ entities and the only files in my materials/console folder are my background (background_upward.vmf/vmt). Still just a black background at main menu.

If it helps at all this is what my main menu looks like after I join then leave a server

Hello,
ToastyHUD isn't quite working right for Spy. The disguise class outline is just a big white square, and I don't know how to fix it, make it smaller, or make it go away.

hey guys,
i've been editing NotoHUD to be working with StatusSpec (mediguns and some minor stuff) and found one problem
if i change mediguns, the previous name (Medi Gun) will stay there and Kritzgrieg draws over it

It seems like there's no fade out, maybe try copying and pasting this to your hudanimations.txt

If it ends up not fading away you can probably just comment the whole section out so you never get the outline

Thanks for the help! Maybe I didn't describe the problem very well. On other huds, there's an outline that pops up which shows the class one is disguised as. For me, it's just a big white square that pops up and fades away. It blocks a lot of the screen. The section you gave me didn't solve this, so I just commented it out. It's a definite improvement not to see the popup at all though!

how do I increase the font size of the weapon name/description (both for inspect and killcam), target playername/uber, killfeed, and scoreboard? I'm playing on a tiny laptop and these things aren't easy to see. I'm willing to just use a different font if changing its size is too difficult

swapping fonts might not work too well because then youll have to start changing the targetID sizes and stuff to acommodate a larger font. if your screen is that small I would recommend just downscaling your resolution

  2. What is the file for the replay menu? Can't find that sucker anywhere.

G:\Program Files\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\customhud\resource\ui

and
