I agree, some sort of experience should be needed for them to add up, either 1 season minimum or have them cross an elo threshold. The problem of unbalanced 5-0 is also extremely highlighted if ure someone with high elo because the site tries to balance out the teams and comes up with one team having a 2000 elo player and always landing the new player and the whole other team ends up having 1600 and over which basically makes the games a 6 v 5 because no matter how high ur elo is u cant teach someone how to play in 25 mins. This is really such a fatal flaw because it punishes people for having put in the time required to reach high elo, and i think when u reach 1800 and above the games become incredibly punishing because the site expects u to get 40 kills and 400 dpm each game no matter the circumstances so it pairs u up with players that have 1100 elo and 3 games played on the site. We should be actively looking for a solution because trying to do your best in games and reaching high elo is like shooting your future self in the foot so it makes people stop trying and it lowers the quality of the pugs.

I feel like normally the best solution to stop the 100 dpm curse would be to restrict them from the open pugs so theyre forced to add up to newbies but in this situation it seems like there arent that many new players to begin with and the ones that exist dont play that consistently so restricting them from open might prove even more counterproductive for the growth of the game. One idea i have is that RGL could merge with TF2CC/NewbieMixes and have the coaching go on in the rgl pug site under the newbie category, just so all the newbies could gather in one familiar place while still having the benefits of coaching nights. I think if we familiarize them with one website from the beginning it makes playing competitive much more accessible since they could be able to run the newbie pugs even when theres no coaching going on.

if anyone else has other ideas or maybe an addition/disagreement to mine please share it, I think the more ideas we have the more we can troubleshoot for the best outcome.

When degeneracy is condoned it will only grow to become inhumane and disturbing, and while theres no limit to what u can be or do in this life, I believe that it is a spectrum and one side of it is completely demonic. And it really is pathetic that a “man of god” didn’t recognize that and tried to help. We are all “sinners” in this life but the least we could do is prove useful to one another and stop condoning said degeneracy before it takes us down with it.

Is it possible to get something like a cooldown reset for sub bans? Its been a month since i last subbed out but if it happens again i think ill have a 2 week ban and id like to be able to have a courtesy sub out when i actually do need to go

Lowkey the most optimal pickup for any team, he always tries and hes not hard to work with which might be the most important thing in a medic. I feel like he should be the number 1 option for teams without an established medic.

I feel like this guy has huge potential, he definitely cares about the game and thats not something that should be looked over. Hes not a main caller but hes great at relaying information and generally very vocal, never really heard him be toxic either. If hes able to get a good demoman mentor I think he will shoot up the rankings as hes really open minded. The only thing hes lacking in is his in game pace, I think hed fit the best on a team with an experienced main caller that can help him get adjusted faster since hes still a move up.

Might have to do something with your real life brother since gaming is an outlet for people. If you cant do things irl u do them on the game so u feel fulfilled, but considering how this doesnt benefit u anymore u might already be fulfilled so now ure kinda just stuck with a useless mechanism. Optimizing games isnt wrong either but if u want to change and ure unable to then its a problem.
