Stinson_OutAm I the only one who is happy about the fact that there is yet another TF2 event? As Toast said, people who preferingly play Highlander come to 6v6 LANs regardless because they want to hang out with their friends that they play with online week in and week out. Why cant it be the other way round?
I have honestly never wondered what gamemode is being played at a LAN when considering to attend. Logistics, accommodation, and in the end budget was always a far more important concern. I love TF2 and I couldnt care less if I am playing 9v9 or 6v6., LANs are awesome! Cu@!
My body is ready for the shit and the downfrags I am about to get for this.
Low effort troll.
gemmStarkiegemmall the tool does though is stitch it together into a nice demo, other games will also have tools to do that or tools for swapping saves quickly etc. should still be called segmented imo but w/e at this pointwell you could have loads of segments in quick succession with multiple in a second, doesnt really seem like a segmented run to me
as do many segmented runs in other games (depending on the level of fidelity they're aiming for), just because a tool is involved doesn't make it TAS
The definition of TASes differ from community to community, so you are not entirely wrong. However it is considered a TAS in the TF2 community.
midk bout that man, this season
a 6th place team beat a 5th place team
a 5th place team beat a 3rd place team
also a 4th place team beat a 2nd place team
sure not all of invite is completely competitive but outside of froyo its definitely not as cut-and-dry as u think
i do think once u get out of top 6 things get very onesided, though
That's not my point. The point is that you should spend the money getting 12 NA teams there on getting intercontinental teams so that you would have greater competition.
Out of the 12 teams you are willing to pay flights for, 8 teams will be complete losers because there's a maximum of 4 teams that can compete at a reasonable level in NA.
If you actually have the money to back the project up, don't waste money on the 8 bottom feeder teams and bring in 4 really good teams instead, from all over the world.
FunsflyingbuddyWhat's your craziest LAN story?at i55 I drank some alcohol, you can ask someone else about that one
Or if you don't have one, what's the craziest LAN story you've heard of?
So back in i55 one of my friends (FIR) had gotten Funs so drunk he was almost at the verge of passing out. So for like fifteen minutes I had to take care of this 15 year old underage drinker and tell him encouraging and positive things until we basically asked the security to take care of him instead. I had no idea who he was at the time, just some random kid.
One year later I learn that the kid I took care of was Funs and that he is actually an amazing scout. Wtf.
Got two spots in my hostel room, I'm staying there friday-monday (three nights). 750 SEK (€78) for a spot. Hmu.
EDIT: only one spot left
AdnurakThere's no good reason americans should want to give up their guns,
There's a very good reason Americans should want absolute psychopaths not owning guns (or cars).
Max_ReeroJust a reminder that it is very difficult to obtain an automatic weapon, and the weapon used by the shooter was a semi-automatic rifle modified to be shot automatically. Just want to put that out there.toads_tfReeroJust a reminder that it is very difficult to obtain an automatic weapon, and the weapon used by the shooter was a semi-automatic rifle modified to be shot automatically. Just want to put that out there.has there been concrete information released on the firearms? i'd like to see it if there is, as i've heard all sorts of stuff
I've seen in several different places he most likely used a technique called bump firing
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bump_fire
There are so many guns in the US and the gun culture is so ingrained into the US it is pretty much literally impossible to take away guns. In 2009 there were about 310 million registered guns in the US. That was 8 years ago and doesn't include illegal guns. It doesn't matter if making guns illegal is the right thing to do it's feasibly not possible. Likewise with the US changing from imperial to metric, it's logistically impossible to do at this point
Also it's the second amendment right to bear arms not the first fyi
The reason things don't change isn't because they are impossible to change. The reason things don't change is because people don't want things to change. And it has devastating consequences.
Sent them a tweet. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

Look at damage taken.
The anger and hopelessness is just overwhelming and I'm just spending day after day hoping it will fade away. Everything feels like a grind and I can't stop overanalysing past events that led to my worsened mental health. The anger and irritability keeps me up at nights and affects my school performance. I'm trying so fucking hard right now but there is no end in sight for the struggle I'm going through. I am scared that I will some day lose it and break the façade I've been upholding, but that would cause irrepairable damage. I just want to be rational and reasonable, but I just can't forgive. It's so painful.
