she was a legend
This shit makes utterly no sense to me. Why should people have to pay league fees before the registration deadline ends? A lot of people don't even know what division they're gonna end up in, they would even have to pay twice.
Even aside from how short the offseason has been, thanks entirely to how strangely long the gap between the rest of the season and invite LAN was, teams are still being changed constantly. A team not being paid up yet is not a sign of a team not playing. Especially if you're expecting teams to literally have 6 players readied up by now.
sorry lads, half-jew here bowing out
is cypher still as nuts as he used to be?
ok so I played a lobby as demo after the new changes, and probably the biggest unforeseen consequence with the new update is how much ping now seems to matter in terms of doing damage
it's SO much harder as high ping demo to consistently put out dmg with airdets
after testing it out I think the sticky nerf is gonna make scouts even more OP in 6s
we shall see tho
these have to be tested before being fully confirmed
my gut feeling is that the quickiebomb launcher could be overpowered and the regular stickies could be too weak but I am definitely not sure of that, I can't really visualize what an 85% base radius looks like
csgo definitely did NOT show that people HAVE hacked on lans, only that it's theoretically possible in extreme cases (which was always true- people have tried to cheat on lan before, they just mostly got caught)
still, someone having gone to lan is circumstantial evidence in favor of that person overall. does that mean they don't cheat? no. but if they replicate their form entirely it gives them some benefit of the doubt if it's a grey area. context and circumstantial evidence are and always will be used in the case of human anticheat teams. if two players do something moderately fishy but one of them has 50 hours in this game and the other is a well-known invite player the latter will be given more slack. that's just the way it has to be, it's one of the limitations of the system.
it's definitely possible that the admins gave baud the benefit of the doubt because of these facts and still thought the evidence was undeniable. it's also possible that the old ban weighed in their mind and made them more readily accept evidence that was really borderline (or make their decision off an insufficient volume of evidence). personally, I've always been in favor of releasing the evidence of one's decision. I feel like the positives outweigh the negatives. some people might harass the ac admins and say they're incompetent, but that happens if they don't release the evidence too, as people who are friends with the banned person will just assume that they were incompetent anyways. as for not alerting hackers that they're onto them, I think that's pretty stupid reasoning. it's not like there are an infinite amount of super complex private hacks out there. if one guy gets banned for triggering it's not suddenly going to make everyone switch to a different kind of cheat. the cheater's psyche is that they won't get caught, which is why people always will try to get away with it. at best, people using similar cheats will decide it's not worth it anymore and just start playing legit. isn't that victory enough? hell it worked for cookye.
marmadukeGRYLLSjust watched the adren vid on how to do it, you can use the scoreboard + crosshair to replicate from what i saw.
mustardoverlordalternatively, work really hard to learn what the same smokes are with your viewmodels
as I said, you can try to replicate them without classic viewmodels, it's just more work
and the hotbox smoke definitely isn't the only smoke that's based on viewmodel lineups
off the top of my head (and keep in mind there are way more smokes that I don't know than ones that I do): cat to ct spawn on dust 2, the old stair smoke on mirage before valve fucked it up, one of the two wall smokes on nuke outer, I'm pretty sure at least one of the smokes on season although I don't remember
