Tino_The only thing I could see making a difference is the crossbow and modern teams and medics understanding how to abuse it because that shit is mad broken.
i think the bigger difference is that soldiers play way faster and tighter mechanically (especially their movement/jumps) than they did in the past.

Maki think u guys r overestimating open player dm and the dm of the first top comp players lol. and i say this as the guy that usually poops on the way fossils played this game.
yeah idk how good open players are these days but im pretty sure that even in 2007 if u were winning invite on scout ur hitscan was probably pretty good since most of them had probably grown up grinding cs and quake anyways

the solution to make moving up a division make more sense is to bring back d1 and d2 imo. Split advanced into two 8 team round robins again those were the best seasons imo, and you get better quality games since theres never been a point to matches between like top 4 and bottom adv teams anyways. Winning main and moving to d2 makes more sense than winning main and moving to adv as well.

blame unrelated life problem on tf2 -> quit tf2 -> problem is not fixed by quitting tf2 -> figure out how to fix problem -> play tf2 again -> new problem appears -> repeat cycle forever
tho at this point im pretty sure ive broken the cycle by only playing like two nights a week, and mostly just to hang out with teammates

ElenaManettaphobia...but if a person that is able to play invite should be able to play in advanced lolPeople on the lower end of Invite usually can without restriction. But top Invite teams can't otherwise a consistently #4 Invite team would make more sandbagging in Advanced for the #1 prize pool and just ruin the division for the rest.
u get more money for last place invite than for 1st in advanced for like past year lmao
