I do not know what to say, but seeing that Asus ROG G71JT supports g-sync without a modul@100hz looks pretty alright and the price is decent and the gears too.

EDIT, here is a link for the info, http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/Mobile-G-Sync-Confirmed-and-Tested-Leaked-Alpha-Driver

#23 RIP eSource in Esports
MessyRecipeAbsolutely right. But if you see it this way, by helping out, you're helping eSports.
And in the end, if all goes well, the income will be distributed.

"Do the coding for my idea and if it works out there might be income to share" is something every software dev knows to avoid like the plague...

Anyone capable of building a site like that can pretty easily find someone willing to give them a salary for the same level of work.

This a thousand times, I have had moments where I been "asked" to voluntarily(paid if there is any profit) work for certain projects that seem pretty unrealistic or rather time consuming and not rewarding. I hope this data person man ups and take his time to learn stuff, since it seems he is really young, so time is with him.

#4 Windows fails to boot, repair/restore doesn't work in Off Topic

I can't help you atm, but you need to download FDisk or freeDOS and install on a usb thumbdrive and boot up, later on work your way to assign the correct "bootable" drive you have. You should be able to 'google' up most of the stuff. I hope it goes well for you, can try help you out later if no one else does.

wattI should have mentioned that I'm not actually interested in running TF2 at all. I have down time that can easily be interrupted, so I'm mostly going to be playing single player games.

Well then you're out of luck, if you don't give us more info on what kind of "single player" games you would like to run...

#4 Laptop in Hardware
wattI know there are a lot of laptop threads already, but they all have the same information about buying a desktop for games and a cheap laptop for school.

I'm looking for a laptop that can run your average games at 45+ fps. I want to be able to bring it to work and use it to play games as well as use it for school, so something in the 12-15 inch range would be ideal. I had an HP Pavilion DV7 for a long time before it broke and it ran everything I wanted it to relatively well and was 700 dollars something like 3-4 years ago, but I can't find anything comparable that's the size I want.

Ideally I'll spend something like $600 tops on it, but that's flexible. Anyone know of anything like that?

Thanks!

Any laptop with the newest Intel CPU,GPU(Haswell) can run tf2 pretty solid in most default settings and laptop resolutions(can be a bit tricky with higher resolutions then 1366x768). I got a "work" laptop housing a i3 4100m and HD 4600, can run in native resolution and along with configs the game pretty well. Only experience sluggish plays if I am playing 32 player servers.

Pretty alright, don't know if the song fits in. Would like to see a revamp of this with some better quality(game rendering) and maybe with the frag movie hud.

#5 new PC? in Hardware
termohey guys,

basically I'm wondering if I need a new pc, currently I've got:

intel core i7 2600k
asrock z77 extreme9
nvidia geforce gtx 760
G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (2x4GB) DDR3
h50 or h60 cooling for my cpu

my pc freezes up and crashes a fair bit, i had it overclocked for a long time to get better performance in games

everythings about 3 years old although I did some upgrades like new gfx card. I could spend like $2k to get something new if its worth doing?

Your setup is quite good, I don't know what might cause the freezes but check if the HDD is dying, if your PSU is dying, check if motherboard is dying and lastly check RAM. A cool purchase you could do is getting a SSD, if you don't have one.

#9 Computer is Not Performing to Expectations in Hardware
Knuckles_First of all, this is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GqBpNG

I've been receiving sub-par frames that I have decided is related to my computer not tf2. In DM servers (you would think this would be less intensive) my frames are around 140 constant and dips as low as 110 with only tf2 and mumble open. I use chris' dx9 frames but when I use max frames on dx8 I only benefit 20-30 frames.

Initially I accounted it to tf2 being the demon it is and the game itself being the issue but I downloaded Tribes Ascend and was only able to recieve 80 frames.

Issues I have checked:
1. My CPU is not being choked by the temperature, it doesn't exceed 70 C (Usually around 55-60) at any point while playing tf2
2. I just recently reinstalled windows and tf2 (when I got my new SSD) and this didn't help
3. As I said I tried using a cfg designed for more FPS
4. I have tried both windowed borderless and fullscreen

Alright, I will firstly ask, did you properly check that CPU fan is properly attached?Do you have a good airflow in the case? What temps do you get from the GPU? Do you have some funky processes running?(some people actually just install a heap of programs and let them be resource hogging shit). Do you use the latest nvidia driver, if so; do you use the nvidia geforce experience?(usually no one does, so it's safe to remove it completely). Do you have an antivirus running, if so; Do you let it search through the folders where steam is located?(recommend you avoid this). I do hope, since you're using a SSD that you moved swap to a regular HDD, you could eventually close it, once you add more memory(ram) in a near future.

P.S - There is nothing wrong with his PSU. For those who are doubtful, please look at some reviews and benchmarks of it, it performs well.

#4 Short freezes in Q/A Help

You can download HWmonitor and launch it and load csgo while having the hwmonitor on and check temps. You could also download crystaldiskinfo and check the HDD health.

You have to do this. I hope you already have at least started working with Steam Support, but if you haven't, go for it. Presuming someone just swiped your password and hijacked your inventory, Steam Support tends to have access to more than you can see and can probably restore your inventory.

i was about to, until i saw on the steam support page for stolen items
What is Steam's policy regarding items that were traded while an account was stolen?

Well, do check the scan output and I still recommend you talk out with the person you have been, who knows if he/she/it have been drunk and foolish. I mean be frank about it, you don't seem like a lad that wants your stuff to be taken and forgotten, right?

#2 Short freezes in Q/A Help

Right, have you ever experienced this before? If so, when was the first time it happened? Have you checked that it doesn't occur in other games, check out some heavier games than TF2 for instance. How is the temps for CPU/GPU and HDD. Have you a lot of stuff in your drive? When was it last time you defragmented it?

Okay, just some clear up. Do you share computer with someone? Or do you share an apartment with someone. Is it a laptop? Have you been letting your laptop alone with strangers? Have you gone through a virus scan? Are you sure you haven't traded with someone in your friends list while you were drunk?
