I got a pair of, Audio-Technica SonicFuel ATH-CKX9iS and never had a problem with them. The price range should be between 50-60€.

#4 class.cfg not execing interp in Q/A Help
martenSo i have this in my scout exec:
exec binds
cl_interp 0.033
alias "+winger" "slot2"
alias "-winger" "lastinv"

and it doesnt change my interp to 0.033.
meanwhile my spy exec does:
exec binds
cl_interp 0.033
cl_autoreload 0
bind r +reload

does anyone know why this happens?
the other commands in scout.cfg work, so it is very weird.

Do you happen to have an autoexec.cfg running too?
I do not really fancy the adding to each class same interp command over and over. You could easily just make two different cfgs one for projectile classes and one for hitscan classes and exec them along the binds.

#5 PLEASE HELP in Q/A Help
mgibI have had this problem for close to 2 months now. I CANNOT connect to servers randomly. It'll just freeze at retrieving server info and my game just goes not responding. I know I've posted about this before but it's getting so annoying. I can't find a fix for it. PLEASE HELP

I know this might sound stupid but it worked for me, that's why I am going to say try this out.
So first go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\bin

and then delete client and server dll. After that verify the integrity of the game and it will redownload these two and after that, you should be good to go. Do tell if it worked out for you as it did for me!

#60 Cyber Monday in Off Topic
defyhurrykannI am kinda envious of how Black friday and cyber monday in US is a good thing. I really really want a solid build to be able to play tf2,csgo and rome2 plus the upcoming attila with low-medium settings with max frames possible. My current setup, which is a slowass laptop can barely hold rome2.
honestly most games are more processor dependent than anything, my gpu is absolutely terrible and pretty outdated but i can still run all games with decent settings. save up for a i7 it does wonders for your fps

obviously a good build is ideal, but if you get an i7 and at least 8gb of ram you should be in good shape

Yeah I plan on building a good setup with i7 and something powerful enough to play the games I like the most.Just gotta save.

#4 Buying a Laptop in Hardware

There are tons of options to choose between, I found these quite interesting, since the price drop and it has a lot of 'goodies' included. Since you're using it for Uni and casual tf2, I am sure this one will be handy.

This one incase you're okay with a 15 inch and in demand of extra power.

#12 fix my mumble overlay = free strange machina in Hardware

Okay, this might not workout for you, however it did work out for me.
I am using windows 8.1 64bit on a laptop with GT555m. So it's a mobile card, no biggie. Uninstall the current mumble version you have, go and download 1.2.4 and install it, disable auto updater and notifier for it. At the launch options, I actually use

-nod3dex -dxlevel 81 -h 1050 -w 1680

Believe it or not, if I don't add both

-nod3dex -dxlevel 81

, I can't see the mumble overlay, along with steam overlay. This is something I did to get it "working". Feel free to try it out and report if it did or did not work out for you!

#8 GPU advice in Hardware
cabinWell I mean if something better is coming out within a reasonable time frame I might as well wait right? I have a gtx 670 atm and I can hold off if anyone has the inside scoop on Nvidia's 2015 pipeline.

I could also consider holding off to see if ATI's 300 series will be any good. I heard they were supposed to come out around this time but I haven't seen or heard anything new about them. Anyone know anything about ATI's Pirate Islands family?

Ah, alright with a GTX 670 you're pretty good set(for most games), nothing wrong with it at all. Keep it and wait until something else comes out in meantime.

#4 GPU advice in Hardware
cabinDoes anyone know of or foresee Nvidia releasing a GPU as good as a buy as the gtx 970 next year? Thinking about buying a Gtx 970 now that they're restocked. If Nvidia isn't going to release anything as good as or better than the 970 i might as well just buy it now.

I don't really like to take sides but the GTX 970 is really impressive with its performance and price. So you can't go wrong with buying one and later on buying another one. Waiting is always something you could do, but seems pointless, because once you buy the 'better' card, there will be another 'better' than the 'better' card. So buy, if you can the GTX970 and enjoy good performance(that is if you don't already have a decent card).

#18 .NET is open source in Off Topic

This is quite good and interesting, been used to java and now that .net is open source. By all means this should help it to grow even further, a smart move by microsoft.

#6 Unstable FPS in Q/A Help
DuffCreeperhurrykannI am uncertain about what might cause frame drops and ping spikes. However could you answer these questions?
Have you checked temps on the whole computer, as in motherboard, cpu, gpu and etc. Is the computer dusty inside? Did you do an upgrade or clean install of the OS? Have you checked if the HDD isn't dying or having troubles?
I don't know if you can or want to upgrade the whole system, but I will assume you can't due to budget or so. So small tips, get a new GPU, clean the CPU and it's old thermal paste, buy a new CPU fan if you can, overclock the CPU(without damaging it). Buy more memory, as in buy a fresh pair of 2x2gb ddr2@800mhz sticks. Get a new fresh HDD and do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit.

Temps stay at 50c all of the things you mentioned

I have a GPU in a "newer" pc (gpu is like few hundreds better)

HDD Isn't dying no clicks of death (pc hasn't been used for a while)

OS is a fresh install

Don't think I can overclock my CPU

Can go up to 4gb so I'll see what I can do there.

Anything else it's fine, I also want to know some nvidia profile settings for tf2

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=35829106#post35829106 that's the steam version of this thread and they are saying it's a network issue

That might be true, since you seem to be using a wireless connection. I highly recommend you get a wired connection, since I doubt your router and WLAN NIC is powerful enough. You could just grab a simple GPU such as nvidia GT730 or a AMD R7 250.

#29 unable to login in Q/A Help
wv2016YesHave you tried running Steam client as administrator?just tried... didnt work

I don't know if this is a solution but try this, remove ClientRegistery.blob after, go to the steam shortcut or if you don't have one, make one and add the following command into the shortcut -tcp
Should look like this

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe " -tcp

Hope it works.
