#9 Looking for cheap decent mouse in Hardware
hoolihurrykannJermPosted this on a different thread, G100s for $12, free shipping instead of $40Interesting, do anyone happen to know if it's possible to do frankenstein transplant from a g100s to something else that has a better form?i bought a cheapo g303 on ebay that turned out to have a fucked up sensor, possibly fake chinese manufacturing but it had returns so no harm done

I see, well I was thinking more like. If I wanted to buy a cheap mouse that has a ergonomic righthand form for 1-5 dollars, roughly and then the g100s, would it be possible to move the sensor into the cheaper mouse for a better experience. I know it might sound silly but I think I have seen these things on people doing with some other mice, but I can be wrong.

I would suggest you skip AMD CPUs and consult with setsul.

#13 Linux users: How's tf2 running? in TF2 General Discussion

When I run the game under windows I get about 50-200 frames, where 50 is usually in pub mid fights. When I run the game under linux(ubuntu) I get half of that. I am running on a laptop so that might be why it's quite slow with following specs, i5 2410m and GT555m

#4 TF2 Memory Leak in Q/A Help

This didn't fix my problem, but then again my problem seems to be common with lots of people who use laptops.
I run a Intel HD3000/GT555m configuration and it seems to bug out the game during MM after a 5min period of play, console gets overflown with

ShaderAPIDX8::CreateD3DTexture: Invalid color format!

and I am not running in DX8, but oh well I hope this will be fixed soon.

#4 Matchmakin cfg in Q/A Help

I also get some werid stuff spewed out from the console and it drops my frames from 200 down to a bare 15fps, but this is after playing one or two games. I really wish I knew why it did that.

#314 TF2 benchmarks in TF2 General Discussion
ConsoleWarsGamer
2639 frames 32.817 seconds 80.41 fps (12.44 ms/f) 5.479 fps variability
CPU and overclock: AMD FX-6300 @ Stock 3.5Ghz
Graphics Card: MSI Radeon R7 250 (GPU @1150Mhz, Memory @ 1000 Mhz)

Driver version: 15.30.1025.1001
dxlevel (default is 90): 90
Resolution: 1920x1080
Full-screen or windowed: Full
FPS configs enabled: None
Shadows enabled/disabled: Enabled
Additional notes: All high settings on an IMO shitty rig, why is this half decent ;-;

Could you overclock the CPU to 4GHz+ and then set dxlevel to 95 and redo the benchmark, I am quite interested to know the result.

#18 Loss of fps in matchmaking in TF2 General Discussion

I am getting everything you guys mention, however I get another thing spammed in the console

Invalid color format!
ShaderAPIDX8::CreateD3DTexture: Invalid color format!

It's super frustrating, since I am not using dx8, already by default using dx95, so don't know why it does that.

#31 Typical performance with a high-end system? in Q/A Help
sopsI can get up to 400+ fps in tf2 but my fps drops down to 80-90. Capping my fps doesn't help at all and it doesn't make aiming during frame drops more consistent.
My computer setup is this:
CPU: i7 2600k (not overclocked)
RAM: 8GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 1GB
also my storage is fairly fast at 170mbs read/write.
TF2 is horribly optimized and it doesn't take a genius to tell that. A 9 year old game that gets constant updates should not run this badly, it's fine that tf2 uses the cpu more, but even top level cpus in average rigs can't keep up means something is wrong.
But hey you can buy a really expensive computer so you can run this game smoothly!

We almost got the same setup, I have a bit more ram(16gb) and a GT740 instead of the GT9500
