#42 Vector Gaming is Dead in TF2 General Discussion
marmadukeGRYLLSin regards to the tangent: no. we forfeit both matches last week because loro was out of town, our backup's laptop blew up, and we didnt want someone to pay $50 to play in 2 matches on a 1-10 invite team. we missed the match tonight because i had a family emergency.

Thanks for clearing that up. Hope nothing else unfortunate happens. :(

#21 Vector Gaming is Dead in TF2 General Discussion

Good job for sticking together for so long. More teams should be like Vector.

Gonna go on a tangent here: is Root+6 also dead? I know they had some roster issues, but I thought it was just temporary, but now I'm hearing they're also dead.

zilisIf you're using 4:3 resolution the FOV will be smaller than 16:9 / 16:10, making your view look like it's zoomed in which will make player models "bigger".

On a 16:9 / 16:10 monitor.

Going from a 16:9 / 16:10 monitor to a 4:3 monitor, the resolution change does nothing besides show you less and possibly screw up HUDs (like any resolution change).

defyfog you need to revive the na tf2 forums, these shit threads are out of control

Not sure if you're sarcastic, but:

I think the reason for them are because the TF2 community is growing. You see more of them because of that.

#4 What does everyone think about this CRT as a gamin in Hardware

The Asus VG248QE has little input lag, and when Lightboost is turned on, it's supposedly CRT-like. Haven't tried this myself.

Phib4nnyAlso shrugger found a way to escape the map but he wants me to keep it a secret so he can troll people with it.Haha, I think I've found it too... although I'll keep it a secret as well. I'll probably patch it up for next version but you never know... :3

You know you have to show me. :3

#5 Newbie Mixes Friday in Events

Most teams are scrimming Sunday through Thursday, many getting home just before scrims. Mixes on those days would be impossible. Mixes on the weekends is already hard enough.

Pugs, however... go ahead and do those on weekdays.

Anyway, have fun newbies! :>

TwilitlordAnother thing; is the camera when you open the map supposed to spin like that? It's a little disorienting. I get that it goes with the theme and all but it may make people a bit motion-sick.

It's supposed to spin. Spinny spin fun! :D

I told him that it would affect a lot of people (was even disorienting me a little, and I don't recall ever getting motion sickness). He said that while he will keep the spinning camera, he might slow it down.

#209 The 120Hz Monitor Thread in Hardware

I have the Asus VG248QE, and it's great. It seems to be more expensive in Europe though.

The BenQ XL2411T has the same panel and it's cheaper over there. It's not available at all over here, it's Europe-only.

#13 Dolphin: Wii/Gamecube Emulator in Off Topic

By the way, the program itself is legal.

Don't link to games here though.

Anyway, Dolphin is awesome. I started playing WW with it and it looks amazing. It has graphical glitches due to it not originally being widescreen (not everything is rendered for widescreen), and because it's an emulator and isn't perfect.

Also, tried playing it with a keyboard + mouse and it's impossible thanks to the not-so-free camera.

S'all good - just turn up the interp and get the lagvantage
I thought you couldn't change your interp in ESEA servers? If not, I've been missing out on those placebo opportunities on dallas servers.

I thought the same thing, but I was told that wasn't true. It's apparently default restrictions (can't change while alive, can change when switching classes).

#27 ESEA-O in TF2 General Discussion

On Sunday, my team (that I back up for) was playing a Gpit match. Was 1-1, and going into the first half of overtime, the server crashed.

They (and possibly I) have to finish the last round this Sunday.
