MR_SLIN
respect for this post and your effort, you've always had pretty amazing intentions
pce
play the game because you want to play the game, not because you'll think it will become huge
if you're trying to do anything but have fun with tf2 you're in the wrong place
Jaredb027botmodenobody at the top is scrimming with this shit because of LAN
I would like to have a whitelist meeting that doesn't involve a delusional megalomaniac trying to unban every broken item in the game and also has fair representation from all regions.
The issue is that you and many others are labeling a weapon broken based upon information from 3.5 years ago. The game has changed drastically and it is time to reevaluate weapons. I do agree the timing is less than ideal and it may be better to wait until S25 before implementing any changes to the whitelist, but the competitive community can not be so narrow-minded as to utilize only a fraction of the possibilities of gamestyle in this game because they do not want to put in effort to learn it.
Everything in rando's post still applies and still makes the QF dumb af
you still have to run it at 100% of mid fights, which alone is dumb because the ubers are so bad you can't actually do like anything with them so you end up with a stalemate
I think it's a little narrow minded to think that the ONLY reason people don't want to play with these weapons is because they don't want to put in the effort to learn new things
nobody at the top is scrimming with this shit because of LAN

who the FUCK thought it was a good idea to unban QUICK FIX and POMSON and SODA POPPER
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
my team 100% won't play with this shit
edit: on a side note I didn't even fuckign know there was a meeting about unlocks until someone WHO DOESNT PLAY THE GAME ANYMORE told me today
??? ???
saamSo invite is definitely not in a good spot for next season
Froyo, EVL, my team, tambo's team are the only confirmed teams
mae's team is probably happening
bird noises is up in the air
meat market is probably not happening.
if you've noticed that is a VERY LOW skill level. if you're a strong IM team right now making playoffs is nowhere near out of the question.
I'll probably try and iron out a roster this weekend but there will more than likely be something
mana retired
FORUM CHAOS
MR_SLINman why did this thread have to turn into a bunch of personal attacks. cut it out guys.
because people take things personally and because individual people should be responsible for things they say/do
wow.
I can't actually think of anyone I've met who acts more entitled than b4nny is right now
on a note slightly more related to the topic,
most of the weapons were banned because they were terribly designed for this game. Valve has proven many times they have no idea what makes tf2 fun (demo nerf, med update, scouts, gunboats, badlands, ettcccc). If comp tf2 was in its current state when I started playing, I would not play it.
The current number of items that are unbanned is quite significantly too large. weapons like the rescue ranger, natascha, tomislav, sandwich, machina, jarate all do a little small part in "slowing down the game" and making lasts even harder to push and rewarding the "b4nny" playstyle of just waiting for your opponent to fuck up when it clearly shouldn't be in addition to just being plain, boring, uninteresting weapons. on a quick note: variety != good/fun design
I will also say that if there is no whitelist next season or it gets smaller, I have no doubt the people I plan to play with next season will want to play even less.
The only reason people play this game now is for fun, no one really cares whether or not "tf2 becomes big" obviously there is an exception with b4nny who seems to think because he's so damn good at this game he should get paid just like other people who have mastered their game/trade.
news flash: world don't work like that
tf2 players are able to have weird aim because you don't really need to track, most "normal" aim is done by tracking with some flicks but in tf2 you're able to aim entirely off of flicks so it's weird
Daggerdo yall even play metalworks
if metalworks was more colorful I would probably actually enjoy playing it
