HubertTheFishhow come friday and saturday, the two days where people with jobs dont have to get up early the next day, are the two days that nobody scrims or plays matches on? i feel like making friday and saturday more regular days for scrimming and matches is better than changing the time.
I know this is wild to imagine but some people like to do things on their weekends (touch grass, etc.)
I feel like the DM gap would make this pretty uninteresting (glorified open pugs)
What about doing this but only for invite / top advanced, to get people playing together and encourage new teams to form (mentoring lower level players is important but inv had 4 teams at the end of this past season and has no current teams scrimming)
Not likely to turn into real teams but it'd still be good to get people playing (imo). The main through adv range already plays together in pugs, what's lacking is proper invite pugs and invite teams. That said, a regular format cup or someone running dedicated invite pugs would accomplish similar goals.

Fixed being able to cancel an Übercharge by picking up another dropped Medi-Gun
Medi-Guns now go into an activated state when using ÜberCharge
When an activated Medi-Gun is picked up, the ÜberCharge is resumed
I haven't tested out this mod but in the regular game this mechanic allows you to kill the enemy med and instantly pick up his medigun, ending your uber but getting more ad from the saved up uber from their medigun
It doesn't happen too often but it is a distinct change (arguably it's an unfun mechanic to die and then the enemy med already has uber faster than should be possible, but now you can 'uberchain' and have a 16 second uber if you kill the med at the very end of yours)
headphones/mics ppl usually don't think about but they make a huge difference (especially at lans)
i used noise cancelling headphones connected via usb-c last LAN and it was so much easier to hear comms, 100% recommend (I've used iems before but no soundstage, and regular headphones still have a lot of venue noise)
I turned it on by accident like five years ago and got used to it, now I prefer it funny enough
It’s nice on medic so you can whip around to flash someone or see a bomber while also being able to aim arrows, gets the benefit of a high sens at times and a low sens other times. Curious if other invite/prem players use it and with what sens (mine is 3 in game 800 dpi)
Let him permasnipe and it’ll tilt someone on the other team into ragequitting
we put local sniper main yosh onto demo armed with a 20 inch 360 and loch + quickies and he almost beat banny (xd)
Don’t let him near kbbq he will make you eat an entire cow

Fridge soldier is formidable pick this man up vibes are unmatched as well (must be unc friendly environment tho)
I love tf2 classic but it's definitely not at all balanced, most of the new items added (like the heavy anti aircraft cannon) are super unfun and not very interesting for the game. Just to illustrate it for people who haven't played the mod before:
- "oops my med and combo scout got blown up instantly by dynamite haha"
- "dang my flank scout walked around a corner and got -140 dmg blown up by a roamer hiding there with the RPG"
- "a 450 hp heavy spammed me around a corner with an air detting projectile that he has almost unlimited ammo for"
- "an engi used a jump pad and got a sentry gun and heavy on a place that's not supposed to be accessible"
- *everyone gets mowed down and out DPS'd by pre-nerf heavy with no damage ramp*

That said, I'd definitely play some pugs in it, but to get comp people to try it out you'd probably need to have someone with FTP to the server who can easily at will change the whitelist / class limits.
Example: people would probably want to try out banning heavy (old minigun is absurd) or pyro (way stronger than current meta tf2), or banning specific weapons (like dynamite or RPG), not because they're objectively OP, but they're just not very fun mechanics to play against)
The 4 team koth game mode is pretty silly and would likely devolve (everyone ends up shooting red team or two teams team up) but it'd be entertaining to try a pug with
