logicallyErraticI didn't think my connection was the issue, because my ping is normal for me and this setting never caused problems for me before.
it doesnt matter how fucking stable ur ping is, because wifi is just trashh for games. u can be playing on 5ping and ud be still lagging cause of wifi dude:)
can confirm wifi sucks dick for gaming
my uni only has wifi (puke) and whenever people are streaming netflix in the room over (common room with big tv is right next to mine) my connection goes to shit
should i change my interp/stuff even if the wifi is relatively good (100+mbps down and up, <40 ping to chi usually, occasional ping spikes to 100ish)?
NakadaOn the topic of crouch jump scripts, how important is it if I use one to get out of this habit? I apparently have weird fingering for wasd (ring finger w, pinky a, middle finger d index on f) but I've played fps games like this forever. I'm thinking I should bind crouch to f at some point since I'm not doing anything with that key but unless the downsides of a crouch jump script are huge I don't think it's that important since I've done fine with it
really depends on which class you main and how much you care about taking the time to learn it
I'd say there's no downside in binding f to crouch but you could also bind it to mouse2 (for some classes at least, of course not medic or sniper)
imo its a lot easier to ctap with mouse2 than with control or shift bound to +duck, but if you don't main soldier or don't care much about jumping (crouchjump scripts also inhibit you from doing certain bounces and bhops but that doesnt matter to 99% of people)
not sure why he chose to divide the entire prizepool between just the first and second teams...
seems like he just wants to make a $1500 donation to b4nnys i61 fundraiser and watch 6s players hate themselves wasting their time with 7v7 aidslander
i think you're over complicating stuff lol
pretty sure that null movement shouldn't conflict with any of the other two
no idea what the fuck no up jump is even supposed to do but it seems useless and it probably messes with the crouchjump script
you could always just play with default keybindings and learn how to play the game normally
scout is the best class in the game im sure you'll be fine
dingoisntbetterthanmebear u sure know a lot about gettin good bro how come you can only play medic at high IM slinDab
ive been a shitty pug medic/jumper main for like 3 years lol
i remember when muma started playing tf2mix and fed like an idiot
then i saw him afk taunting at i58
slemnish the snake
I feel like it's harder to play scout with it. Strafe aiming is really weird with it because if you tap the opposite strafe key you suddenly jolt the other way and it can be off putting for my aim at least. Without it you can get the timing down and be as responsive as possible but if you want to slow down strafing left for example you can just tap a instead of having to let go of all strafe keys which is what you would have to do with the script. I also find that sometimes I will accidentally strafe cancel with the script when I'm in the air and jolt myself to one side or the other as scout. I feel like it's a lot more fluid and less jolty without the script and the only real benefit is being able to AD mash and make your model look fucky (which is sometimes useful especially on medic). I feel like it and a couch jump script make it much easier when you're newer but can be detrimental or less useful than taking the time to learn the timing of things (for example you can't ctap with a crouch jump script and you get knocked back further)
I forgot about upio, he was a cs player who became friends with the 20b circlejerk and played pug scout with like 200hrs on the game. Pretty sure he was on that part time fraggers team in IM but quit afterwards. Wasn't that good but considering how few hours he had in the game he was pretty good.
Codyody was a top demo jumper and played pugs occasionally then he won open (carried by dingo) and has improved quite a bit in invite this season IMO at least. Similar story to digi who got carried by mausy and won open (having only played hl and some mid open team with cookiejake that died iirc), but he hasn't really improved that much in the few seasons he's played in invite since then.
Most of the time these sorts of players either have experience with another fps/game mode or just grind pugs/dm/mge. Not really the case that some people are just born to be good at tf2 it takes practice. The better your practice and the better the people you play with are the faster you will improve.
says im involved in a currently active game https://na.pug.champ.gg/game/57fc0bfc067052255583bc4b
we picked it and then the site died before we got info so we did it on another server inhouse style (we won 5-0; i deserve elo xd)
downpourMae gives me Block vibes, does anyone know if his best map is gullywash
who isn't a good demo on gullywash
p sure its habib and dingos best maps as well
you can still make it look similar to that by setting it to viewmodel_fov 0 and r_drawviewmodel 0
has the heal particles around the guy but doesn't have the same little orb that it used to (iirc there's a video of harb using it at lan from a while ago on granary)
Oppebocirca played invite in his first season
he played on my open team in s17 for a few matches and then disappeared and removed everyone/emo'd out (different account from the one he uses now)
also he had been playing pugs for quite some time so it wasn't like he got picked up out of nowhere
mae went from pounding DM servers to IM playoffs with six guys off and iirc he subbed for bird noises in invite for a match or two and did well
sigh got cut from air's team (for skyrolla ) and then got 3rd place in open the next season with slowbro, then got 3rd place in IM with bird noises, played with them in invite and the season after that he subbed during playoffs for froyo black who got 3rd place
delpo made invite playoffs his first season of playing demo but he as well had been playing pugs/ringing for invite teams for a while at that point
