MasterKuniYep, motd_entries only contains a single entry for the latest news item and the back/forward buttons are hosed. Considering this functionality has been untouched for years, the only reasonable explanation is that they're intentionally screwing us over with this change. Well, it was nice for the month it lasted.

It could also be a mistake. They've had stuff like this happen. Another possibility is that they saw the potential for malice with phishing links or something. Did this happen tonight or last night?

La_maisonSeems like our only option is to wait. Noticed the buttons of my custom newsbox were grayed out, the buttons of omni's newsbox were greyed out and the buttons in the stock newsbox were removed altogether.

How do you navigate? Or does it just show the latest? Also, can we recreate it with the old command?

If it's a border (most likely), you can find it in clientscheme.res and lower the corner height and width values.

That's because Valve got rid of the playerscore and gametype with the Eureka Effect update. Just remove them from scoreboard.res.

FrothminDoes anyone have a fix for the double bars when using the huntsman?

To fix this, you need to move hudbowcharge.res off of the screen and use the demomanpipecharge.res (or whatever it's called) as the meter for both stickies and huntsman.

if your stickies do less damage when you drop em on the ground immediately, you take less damage from them when you jump, meaning you have more health on your way to mid, potentially opening another jump.

They didn't change self damage.

r4ptureLiterally the only thing this nerfs is mindless sticky spam, left click right click win game bullshit. After literally two seconds they're the exact same stickies they've always been.

The problem becomes more serious when you factor in healing. Heal rates haven't been changed, so as someone said before you can't kill a heavy that's being healed. Killing soldiers will take forever and scouts will take 3-4 stickies now. Even if you wait the 2 seconds.

You need to look in the mainmenuoverride.res and gamemenu.res files. See what the command for the buttons is. It's going to be an alias. You need to go into autoexec.cfg and type:

alias "%aliasname%" "connect %serverip%"

The 2nd ones. Is there an easy way to change the color of them within vtfedit? Or should I export then change color?

I think you'd have to change their color manually in an image editing program, I don't know, maybe there's some magic trick that makes you able to change their color in the hud code.

Here's both tgas and vtfs of white versions to save you some hassle.

flatline, if you can find out more about the motd header part, that'd be very much appreciated. In mine right now, there's MOTD_HeaderLabel nested within MOTD_HeaderContainer and that's it. Neither are ImagePanels or ImageButtons.

At the bottom of clientscheme.res, you need to install the font like this:

"12" // this should be a continuation of the last number there, so if it's 6, you should put 7
{
"font" "resource/font.ttf" //the path to your font, relative to custom/%nameoffolder%/
"name" "fontname" // get this name from the details tab of the font when you view properties
}

Then, up in the fonts section (you can do a Ctrl+F for "Fonts ///") you should put something like this:

"Font12"
{
"1"
{
"name" "fontname"
"tall" "12"
"antialias" "1"
}
}

Do this for whatever sizes you want.

Then, in the huddamagecount.res file, edit the "font" value with "Font12" or whatever.
