Halloween mode always happens automatically when there is a full moon, and during halloween week, as well as on servers where it's manually enabled. Your items don't disappear, they just act like there's a whitelist with them removed when halloween mode is disabled.

holy shit im so fucking saving that
JasI don't think any one cares enough to take notice of a team name with profanity in it as long as the casters aren't giggling like 12 year olds every time they read it.
Don't forget that this is your opinion, but not necessarily the majority opinion or the official stance. There's already a lot of people in favor in this thread.
Personally, I can understand why a caster would want to giggle like a 12-year old at those names - quite honestly, WE WANT FUCK sounds like something a 12-year-old would come up with to sound more mature (even though it makes him sound exactly his age, as we all know). A little maturity goes a long way for making a good impression. The fact that it is/was in the penultimate level of competition is the most cringeworthy part about it - you'd expect the highest levels of any activity to take their positions seriously. I'm not saying it'll make sponsors magically appear and double the scene overnight, but it's certainly more attractive than a division full of teamnames like Assmasters420 or stupidity like that.
milehighmilitiaWho decides what is inappropriate? swearing? seriously? Why does the full name of a team really have to be g rated if a simple shorthand name would do for casting?
Call them Mason's Babies and get on with your life.
Nice to see that this scene wants to be taken seriously then immediately defends behavior that would be completely unacceptable in a public, professional sporting environment under any circumstance
PapaSmurf323its not badlands
Who knows maybe it will be
(shut the fuck up)
blinKI'm a GM at a LA Fitness in NYC. If I was a part time pizza delivery guy or something that's a different story. You could just quit and get another pizza delivery job it wouldn't really matter. In the corporate world your boss doesn't care about your hobbies he cares about the numbers at the end of the day. If i'm not there the numbers won't be good and that's pretty much it. Also it hurts my own paycheck from commissions/bonus standpoints. I can't really complain because I make a good amount of money but that's how it is for me which sucks in regards to my love for video games. Hard having a real career and playing competitive TF2. Also after thinking about it i'd rather spend vacation hours having a real vacation in Cabo or something. Not everyone is in the same boat as me obviously but i'm sure there's some.
Smaka is really the only person in tf2 i've met that has a real career that can take off when he needs too. He has a good job. His damn beeper blows up 24/7 though lol
Now, where do the 4 of you work at?
I think the problem is you've got a shitty job where you can't get vacations at all and they expect your job to be your life. Any decent job anymore will give you days off if you ask for them, or give you vacation time you can split up - even that part time pizza delivery job you mention.
Now why does the rest of your management staff not have the ability to work a few weekend a year without you around?
I really love maps with an emphasis on height advantages, I'll take a look when I get home
someone had posted a workaround a couple weeks ago where you can use an upgrade disk as a clean install
wMoyTHE TILDESfrom my years of experience on the internet, only gay anime rp dudes do that
is this making you~
uncomfortable~
nerkulSerotoneI think the community needs to be decreasing its reliance on ESEA, not increasing it.
At this stage I don't see how it can be argued that they aren't more trouble than they're worth. Creating a community league and finding some LAN you can piggyback tf2 onto seems best.
Day 10 of Clientgate. Still telling the Euros "It's not that simple"
The thing is, IMO, we can talk about the advantages of the ESEA pug system all we want, but it doesn't change the fact that the community has created multiple pug systems on its own, to the point that ESEA would have to make drastic, drastic changes to even have a chance of becoming a minor competitor to them. Sure, IRC is hard at first but once you get walked through it by someone familiar with the IRC pug system it's pretty easy. And if you really don't get IRC at all we're supposed to get TF2center eventually, which will be more straightforward, and hopefully not as scrubby as lobby has become (if it even gets released, that is...).
Just saying, ESEA has a lot of distance to catch up in the pug market.
ScarabGENERALLY hitscan interp is 33 lerp (0.33) and projectile is again generally 15.2 lerp (0.152) in console.

DavyCblahblahblah
Please just
stop talking
TF2 never has been and never should be something you schedule your life around, and if you say you should you need a new life
Truth is milo is right and for the MAJORITY of tf2 players that's when matches and scrims happen
and you shouldn't even try to justify that you can do other times because we have lives
No matter what you do, esports in a season format will probably rely on a week by week schedule, it's just a thing we as humans do and understand
I'm going to put IRL first, even if I ever reach invite
Honestly for once I wouldn't WANT any of the primary parties to get involved, there's a lot of he said/she said and general confusion going on. Just have a neutral (yeah right)(still better than first parties tho in this case) third party to talk about it.
