Arrive at airport, get rail pass at airport near the platform. I took a 3 day pass last time I think. Didn't cover all of LAN but I just bought an extra 1 day ticket to catch my flight home. Don't remember the price. Didn't even need it much because we walked between hotel and venue but I don't remember it being so expensive I regretted buying one. If you really need one depends on where you're staying, but I at least recommend it on arrival to get to your hotel and on the final day to get to the airport

For food you're better off figuring out a place to stay first. Will give you a better idea on how to plan getting food because once you're in the venue you'll often be there for the rest of the day. Our hotel had breakfast which helped. The days we slept past breakfast we bought food at the food trucks at the venue.

There's plenty of stores, but they are a bit of a walk from the venue. Definitely an option to get cheaper food, but requires some planning. You can easily be gone for 1-2 hours just getting basic food if you leave the venue on foot. I recommend going to a store before you go to the venue on the day

Most people got food from the food trucks afaik. Last time there were 3 parked right at the entrance of the venue. Vegan Indian food, burgers with mayonnaise as default (wtf denmark) and something else I forgot. Obviously less healthy and more expensive than buying food at the store, but it was by far the easiest option if you're on foot

Bar in the venue sold couple types of beer, redbull and probably also water. Expensive because it's a bar in Scandinavia + at a LAN ofc

Last time security didn't care if you brought "water" etc from outside. And fill your water bottle at the sink in the venue. Danish tap water should be good quality (can any Danes confirm?). Stay hydrated

You sample randomly to discourage cheating. not because they think those people are cheating, but to make the risk higher of being caught if you do.
A simple example is a cashier asking you to open your backpack if you took it with you in their store. They don't think you stole anything. They ask it to make sure people who intend to steal are discouraged to come into that store and fill their backpacks

As setsul mentioned, exceptional treatment happening is like half the reason RGL threads are made. If he'd not have been banned for this, a thread might've been made of someone complaining admins are giving exceptions while their own teammates got banned for it

The VTF file is 128x128. Any weapon you want to use it on will need its corresponding weapon .txt file edited because most (like the ones from cfg.tf) are 64x64

A quick necro to point out an issue I had, but also fixed. In case anyone else runs into it in the future.
AVIrecorder stopped launching saying "No compatible games detected" or something along those lines

The program makes a txt file "games.kv" in the same folder it's placed in. I moved most of my steam library from my C drive to my D drive a couple months back. Changing the GameDir and Executable to reflect TF2's new directory fixed the issue.
CS:GO's lines remain unchanged so you can see what the issue was before with TF2. AVIrecorder kept checking my C drive for TF2 because of the <library> variable like with CS:GO

Also for anyone who hasn't used this program, it skips having to stitch TGA files together with virtualdub if you record through Lawena. I highly recommend it if you're still using vdub

imo simpler is better. You want it to be clearly visible at all times, but take up as little space as possible. much like any other HUD element basically.

crosshair3, crosshair5, crosshair6, crosshair7, brackets. All fine
If you're looking at custom ones you can consider outlines or shadows
Stuff like pilot crosshair or giant crosshairs just add clutter

If you go more obscure than a variation of a dot, cross or bracket you're probably overthinking things (and I say that as someone who has made and used some very questionable crosshairs in the past)
