#25 ESA Rewind Feedback in LAN Discussion
SideshowI liked the format of bottom two teams from round robin going into the lower bracket, and the event as a whole was awesome.

The format was perfect for just 6 teams but I wonder if it would have been more interesting to combine the top 2 teams from the Open Tournament with the Invite Round Robin teams and create an 8 team bracket for the final Invite Tournament. (if those Open Teams were willing of course)

I wouldn't think either of the Open teams would have had a problem being invited to compete in the real tournament.

AvastSpaceCadetAvastYeah usually migrants from stable countries just carry their membership cards for their various extremist organizations around with them.
Like this poor guy who is probably really down on himself because no special skills at all and no security deposit. wtf

You do realize those were files leaked from an ISIS database and not actually carried around with them into the countries they traveled right?

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/british-terrorist-junaid-hussains-isis-7529352

The article even states that over a quarter of ISIS fighters listed in this leak are Saudis and many more Egyptian. Yet there is no ban on travel from those countries???

People are just going to have to admit this an emotional political move to appease a political base with no real reasoning or intelligence behind it.

I would at least say it was consistent if it had been a ban on all Islamic majority countries where ISIS fighters come from, but it isn't so it's just really dumb.

Sorry Avast, I am totally not serious and was just trying (poorly) to be funny. I can't and will likely never share political or social opinions on this message board again in a serious light. Only things TF2 related.
Don't mind me in this thread. :)

Suggestion:

At past LAN's, from time to time, the casters would enter the team comms in Mumble for the viewers to hear the players talk at the beginning of a new round during the mid-fight. I felt this added excitement to the cast for the viewers.

I always found those mids to be the most entertaining. It was great to actually hear the coordination of the calls and even the urgency in a players voice live. I would personally like to see casters begin to do this in the future.

#30 Se7en is the reason why people call 6s stalematey in The Dumpster

I honestly have no problem with the way 7 plays the game. At the end of the day, it is a tournament and the goal is to win so whatever strategy gets that job done is fine by me. They lost this one but it could have gone differently.

From a purely spectator point of view, it can seem really boring and at times lacking excitement to watch a stalemate or slow progression from CP to CP so I can understand and feel the frustration.

Just speaking for myself, when I am watching these types of matches, I feel engrossed as a player and that makes me appreciate these situations so much more. I want to see the tiny mistake a player makes that initiates the other team to capitalize and press such a small advantage. I feel it helps me learn and make my own game better as well as my team. Basically, I appreciate the small things and don't always need the super fast paced, in your face triple airshot style we all love.

Can I come off the list? Pretty please? I have been a good boy lately and totally avoided expressing my opinions for things outside TF2 for months now!

This may be the first time I agreed with anything ScrewB says on this site.
Do what he says and save the kitty cats lives.

WRWhy is Paulsen so hot?

I don't like him. My wife picked him when I showed her all the pictures and asked her to pick the cutest one.

TheFragileNot really breaking down anything in categories here, but just things that stood out in my mind:

I've always said the European medics are fucking awful. I was never impressed by any of them, but holy shit, I was incredibly impressed by Raymon. I don't think there's any question that Raymon is the best medic in the world, and it's not close to being a competition there. His positioning was very spot on (minus a few times on Sunshine, but apparently Se7en haven't played Sunshine much at all), his dodges were insane, and his arrows saved his teammates countless times.

Are you talking current EU medics, cause I hope so. When you say "always" that means you are calling Mirelin and KnOxXx awful and that is plain fucking retard mode. I am not going to argue about who "impresses" you because that is personal opinion.

Both of them were better than any other NA medics (includes you) with the exception of shade and possibly Harb
