#4 Graphics card damage in Hardware

I don't understand the question.
Can I get a different question?

Do not practice your carving skills on a GPU.
Also don't set it on fire. They don't like that either.

7600 is the 6600's successor. Slightly faster, same price.
Don't buy ITX mobos unless you are actually going for an ITX build. At that point you pay for them being smaller and having less features.
With micro ATX you can get 4 RAM slots (and you should) so you can get 2x4GB, use dual channel and still be able to upgrade.
Faster and cheaper HDD.
That PSU is currently on sale and much better. Deals will change though.
Don't buy the VG248QE. Also this monitor got FreeSync, which is nice.
Not a fan of Corsair keyboards, but let's not go down that rabit hole yet.

I'd stretch the budget a bit to include and SSD.

Also keep in mind that an i5 is usally not enough for streaming, unless you're willing to sacrifice a lot of fps and quality.
If you can wait until April get an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (219$ afaik). 6 cores / 12 threads are much better for streaming than 4 cores / 4 threads. You can also oc it and get it to about the same speed as the i5-7600 so there's not many reasons to not get it instead of the i5.

Well if you don't care about speed you should just get the cheapest SSD you can find. But I don't know why you'd want an SSD in that case.

EDIT: To clarify this is about capacity vs speed.
PCIe M.2 120GB = smaller but faster.
SATA 2.5" 250GB = larger but slower.
SATA M.2 250GB = same speed and size as 2.5" SATA but more expensive most of the time. Does not make sense.

No I mean do you want an SSD with actual PCIe M.2 or just a SATA SSD in another form factor that's more expensive?

Oc the CPU, oc the RAM a bit and then either get a new GPU or lower the settings.

See #2238, you need to post the correct link.

#2239
120GB with actual M.2 or 250GB with just SATA?

#9 cpu not reaching max speed in Q/A Help

At those temperatures it will throttle.

With multicore rendering enabled multiple cores will be used. You can't get higher than 3.2 with multiple cores.

#7 cpu not reaching max speed in Q/A Help

Proto with the big memes.

-protoive had no problems running tf2 and csgo, always hitting around 300 fps.

300 is the default cap. If you hit that the CPU doesn't need to clock higher. It would just waste power.

-protoshould be reaching 3.4 right?????????

No. this is "up to".
Only if the temperature is low enough and there's enough power budget left it can go to 3.4 (and only if it's actually needed).
Do you have a GPU or are you using the iGPU? That would be also part of the power budget. If you have a GPU then the power budget for the CPU itself might be set lower to conserve a bit of battery charge. Or simply the heat of a GPU next to the CPU is causing it to not go as high.

Also this is single core turbo. You can only get one core to 3.4. If you don't want all other cores to sit at 2.4 then you can either get 2 at 2.4 and 2 at 3.3 or 1 at 2.4 or 3/4 at 3.2 (depending on if the 4th is needed to clock that high).

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!
Windows is bugged. Who knew. For example an i-4790K will show 4.12 GHz when everything is working perfectly fine. Doesn't sound right, I mean it should go up to 4.4. Well it's either 2 cores at 4.0 and 2 at 4.4 or all 4 cores at 4.2. Either way an average of 4.2. And windows doesn't really do math like normal people. 4.12 = 4.2. Lock all cores to 4.4 and it will display 4.32. Trust me, I've tried it.

So what's actually happening is all 4 cores are running at 3.2 which is indeed the max and windows is displaying 3.12 or something like that.

(he shouldn't have bought slow and most importantly incompatible DDR4 RAM either)

Look at CPU and GPU usage to figure out what's the limiting factor.

1. Stock turbo is 3.8. You've underclocked it. Yes, overclock it. I mean you paid for a Z77 mobo and a cooler. Waste of money if you don't use them.

2. You mean that post where someone went from single channel 1333 MHz CL11 which is legitimately the slowest RAM that is sold to dual channel 2400 MHz CL11? Yeah, you're not going to see anywhere near as much of an improvement. If your RAM is on 1.5V you can oc it anyway.

3. Look at usage first.

#72 nrg dream tf2 team in Other Games

3 reasons:
1. IDDQD got reasonably good internet (unlike numlocked), so combined with OW's "favour the shooter" netcode it's doable.
2. Numlocked just needs to swing a hammer with 5 meter range. If you can't hit that no matter the ping no one can save you. I mean he sometimes gets 100 ping to EU servers. Glorious 4G.
3. Like I said they are just scrimming for now, no tournaments until they've moved.

Actually they haven't moved yet.
But as it turns out the US uses the same Internet as Britain and Sweden, so you can actually play on the same server while being in different countries.

The link doesn't appear to be what you wanted to link.
I want to compare the prices to some other european shops.

#2222 PC Build Thread in Hardware

There's a few local shops. Ebay depends on the seller.
Scan and overclockers as well as quite a few german shops that do EU shipping definitely ship to Malta.

Mindfactory and a lot of the bigger, cheap shop sadly don't, but I could obviously forward packages to you if you want.
