BRIANLANDER have been building to this for five seasons. Their first Grand Final, back in Winter '24, ended 0-2 to ATOMIC. They missed playoffs entirely the season after. Then in Autumn they finally got it - 2-0 over crylander, champions at last. Tonight they defend it. One draw, one loss and a 2-0 dismantling of Pending Disbandment in the Upper Page Playoff booked their seat ten days ago; they've been waiting ever since.

Pending Disbandment did not exist six months ago. A brand-new name - with a roster carrying the best part of a decade of ozfortress mileage - dropped straight into Premier and has lost to exactly one team in its entire existence. That team is BRIANLANDER, and Pending Disbandment have already beaten them too: 2-0 in Round #6, Ashville 3-2, taken the hard way. They came back through crylander in the Semi (3-1, 2-1) to earn the rematch they wanted.

Three meetings this season: BRIANLANDER 2, Pending Disbandment 1. And every single one has come down to Ashville - 3-1 BRIANLANDER, 3-2 Pending Disbandment, 3-0 BRIANLANDER. Don't be surprised if it decides this one too.

A title defence against a team that's never had one, and whose name might not survive the night either way.
