#18 FPS drops in Q/A Help

The GPU should not be at 100°C. As in never. It might die.

The CPU is almost definitely throttling in TF2.

N3voI installed speedfan, and its most likely a temp issue as the program displays a fire emoticon nearby my Cores and my GPU.

NUMBERS, we need NUMBERS!

#16 I need help for tf2 performance in Q/A Help

Those 30% are not that big of a deal.
Also Hyperthreading on Pentium 4 lul.

I'm pretty sure 2007 TF2 gets more fps than 2017 TF2. No bs items.

#15 Server problem in Q/A Help
SetsulHow are you trying to host a dedicated server?

Step by step please.

Right now what you're saying is "It doesn't work, please help" without telling me what you did.

What's your point?
If you want to play TF2 without any updates a Pentium 4 would get you 60fps.
If you think TF2 without updates is terrible or 60fps are not really smooth in TF2 then you have a problem.

#13 Server problem in Q/A Help

I'm not sure what you're trying to do.
Any server created in the TF2 client is a listen server.

How are you trying to host a dedicated server, since that was your problem?

Keep the rest.

If you don't want to oc just swap the 4790 for a 4790K but the difference is only 10%, not really worth it.

Question still stands, how can people join your "offline server"?

Carlotso25If I were to upgrade my rig for TF2 purposes, do you have any recommendations?
I'm on a Gigabyte H97-D3H for motherboard.

Budget?

i3 should be as fast in TF2, no idea about Serious Sam though.
2x4GB is fine, a mobo with 4 slots means you can still upgrade should you need to.
Get an SSD. If you're fine with 250 or 500GB go with SSD only.
470 isn't much slower than a 480, price difference depends on sales though, not sure if you think the savings are worth it.
Not a fan of the SPEC-02 but I don't really care. There's lots of options though.
450W is plenty.

I see you ended up getting a more reasonable B350 mobo.
Well, have fun with the pc, RGB isn't exactly required for that.
Also good luck with the OC, may you reach those sweet 4 GHz.
