Most 500MBit adapters will get you about 50MBit, 100Mbit max.

Just a bit of advise: Plug them in a single wall outlet, not into and extension cord, not next to another outlet that's in use to get optimal speed.

I'm not sure about newer models but some suffer from degradation due to heat and dust buildup (->even more heat). The worst I've had went from 25Mbit to 2.5Mbit after 3 years, mostly due to packet loss. Just remember that in a few years if your connection seems to get worse and worse within a few weeks.

You know that nicotin is a neurotoxin?
Nobody should take advise from someone who doesn't think an addictive toxin is dangerous.

He said "listen with your eyes closed". He actually expected the viewers to listen for a difference.
Also nice job on thinking that I'm retarded.

Do not link that video ever again if you don't want to get stoned to death by angry audiophiles. Half of it is right, but the other half is bullshit.
It gets worse in the second video, a blind listening test mp3 vs flac, via youtube so both is encoded with aac anyway.

They're already out. They're exactly the same with 0.1 GHz higher clockrates. Non-OC Haswells never suffered from overheating.

The K SKUs aren't Haswell-Refresh, they're Devil's Canyon, expected for June. We don't know anything about prices or the overclockability yet. I'd expect the 4690K to overclock pretty much the same as the 4670K, maybe slightly better because of the 0.1 GHz clock bump, probably the same price as the 4670K (see Haswell-Refresh = clock bump + same price).
The 4790K is going to be interesting though. 4.0 GHz base, 4.4 turbo, that's higher than a lot of 4770Ks can OC. Should be a lot more expensive though.

Marketing and people being stupid killed mutli-rail. The OCP tripping point is usually 2-3 times the current the rail is actually rated for. For any less than a 4 rail PSU most of the time you'll get an overload shutdown before OCP trips. Unless you put everything on one rail. Because manufacturers were tired of people who did this and then complained about "random shutdowns" and because marketing liked it the tripping points were increased.
[/rant]

The point of multi-rail is that OCP trips earlier, but because the tripping points are so high nowadays, especially on PSUs with only 2 or 3 rails (you won't get more below 800W) and especially if you get a PSU with higher wattage to get multi-rail OCP will actually trip later than OCP/overload shutdown on a (smaller) single rail unit.

Getting a bigger PSU to get multi-rail defeats the purpose of multi-rail.

Also please tell me you aren't serious about 650W+ for a GTX 760 and an i5-4670K. Overclocked pretty hard the power consumption for those would be 200W and 150W.

Take a look at the Benq XL2411Z.
Just get decent cheap DVD drive (e.g. Lite-on iHAS124).
There are lots of other good cases for the same price or cheaper.
You could get a better and also more efficient PSU if you are willing to spend a bit more on it.
For the love of god, get headphones and a mic, not a headset.

The speedtest link is broken.

Does it happen with two wired connections?

Can you test it with a different router?

Are you a little bit impatient?

#61 THE REMATCH IS REAL in TF2 General Discussion
PlatinumHow about a longer pause duration? That's actually applicable to tf2. 5 minutes rolls fast as hell especially when it takes a few minutes to even figure out the problem.

What if team A got a couple of players who can only play until e.g. 11 p.m. and team B decide to be dicks and just pause forever?

5 minutes are usually enough to sort everything out, unless there's a major problem like a lot of players crashing and/or not coming back and/or not enough backups available and/or no ringers available and/or ringers getting denied.

Platinum...

Revise the rules if they can't be applied on literally the first case asked to enforce them?

Revise the rules when they prove to be inadequate? Yes.
Enforce the rules when they prove to be inadequate? No.

At first you suggested to enforce a rule at all times, now you're suggesting to revise it as soon as a problem with it arises? If you're not applying the revised rule in the incident that caused the revision, you're screwing someone over and if you do, you basically didn't enforce the (old) rule.

I might have missed the magical solution hidden beneath your list of problems
(reminder:

PlatinumSo what would you have done if a couple players were getting potentially temporarily ddosed? What if someone happened to lag? What if it wasn't as cut and dry as 3 people crashing outright? What if the team was losing and wanted a round overturned and decided to pull their modems? How would you know??

), but please tell us what rule covers all of these and everything else that could possibly happen so UGC can use that rule and enforce it no matter what might happen.

What if the team was losing and wanted a round overturned and decided to pull their modems? How would you know? That's why rules are in place and until you get a lan where you can have on site control and enforcement, the documented rules should be followed. If they aren't good enough to just enforce to the letter, revise them. Law gets amended all the time. I dont really care who wins this but what's the point of having rules if they don't matter?

So outside of LAN there should be No Exceptions?
