your explosion script - ExplosionCore_sapperdestroyed is known to sometimes make these weird lags

oh the argument that dx9 uses much efficient renderer, so you have to use it

i get 195 fps on dx8 and 154 on dx90 and im using modern hw

you'd use one for 2 reasons, higher audio quality or the chip on your mb broke
actually you have drivers for the card which may not be compatible with the games you play (if you use uni xonar ones like me), but speaking strictly of fps, it's the same

could you provide some quick vid?

1) demo playback (for POVs) executes class configs, so you need to change lerp there
i can suggest using mat_queue_mode 0 and forwarding the demo on 0% speed (fast forward is smooth fyi)

2) also having high ping or low fps while recording the demo somehow gets written into the demofile, but the first point should make it much better

been using dx80 for years and havent had any crashes, i advise on trying it

tf2 wont utilize them, it runs on like 2 cores and some random thread

unless you download random files or go to malicious sites, there's really no point in using one
