Thebackup30I don't see why not just copy paste the current format that has been tested for years, like what's the problem with ETF2L/ESEA ruleset (maybe with the exception of the timelimit of 30:00 and winlimit of 5 point difference - instead of that it can be BO3 or BO5, I think it's a more suitable solution for matchmaking)?
If the maps can be selected I don't see a problem with a few additional non-5CP/KotH maps, maybe just divide a map pool into active duty (5CP and KotH) and a reserve pool (A/D and other gamemodes) like in CS:GO.
The only reason other alternatives than just copy-pasting our format are discussed is that there are huge gaps between Casual and our 6s. Having MM to be a bit closer to Casual while still maintaining the 6s core would be pretty beneficial. One way to do it would be less restrictive or less complex Class limits (while obviously having a class limit to begin with), even tho there should be a "fix" for having 2 medics. Another way which is probably the most preferred one is to have a much bigger map pool in MM, while also allowing maps to be selected when queuing. This would mean the least played maps could get rotated out for different ones.
Besides, playing some A/D or PL in 6s MM could be novel done once in a while and could break the monotony of only playing 5cp
