xprest1geWhy not like... make short youtube videos of how to play their position? There's no point in talking to them over mumble when there's tons of videos that depict good pocket plays/bad pocket plays, and same with the other classes.
Then you can literally leverage the same video going forward, editing/improving it as you go on instead of the same person having to constantly describe each position and setting expectations. Visuals are better, just make it newbie friendly.
this. it's nice to have personalized advice and a relationship with your teacher but people get bored of teaching the same tips over and over. a vod presents the information he same exact way every time to people who watch it.
If you look at any esport right now, they're all relying on streaming to get their matches casted. Mumble casts are a thing of the past back when streaming wasn't a thing. Mumble casts are also difficult to monetize and streaming gives broadcasters a way to monetize their efforts.
You lose a little bit of camera control and video quality when streaming as opposed to watching in the STV, but streaming is a win-win for everyone involved.
GetawhaleIs there a specific niche or need that this site seeks to fill, besides "Admins and a team who aren't idiots"? Is the goal to just become the main source of lobbies for TF2? Would love to hear more about the advantages, unique features, and how you're trying to position this.
"Admins and a team who aren't idiots" is already an amazing selling point considering the state of NA TF2 right now LOL
Moved this to Site Discussion.
To my knowledge, we don't do mumble casts anymore.
when you guys are finished playing your matches, it'd be great if you posted reviews of the service and how smoothly things went in terms of getting your matches scheduled and off the ground.
just curious, is there any way that this service would publicly reveal your IP address?
looking forward to testing this when I get home.
tenaciousg is a TF2 God. legend has it that he still browses the TeamLiquid forums to this day, spreading knowledge of his greatness.

4:39 PM - joke: you know you guys give me 1 fucking tryout ONE scrim and i was nervous as shit my computer chugs along as is its not the greatest system it can barely run tf2 at 30 frames and sometimes it freezes up and shit but im still a great fucking player considering and i was playing scout which takes time to adjust in a 6v6 format with your team and if your nervous can be alot more difficult to play than any of the other classes and i can play any damn class i want to play soldier i like soldier or fuck demo even im up there with banny if i were in the mix a few seasons ago i'd prob be better than banny right now
they just officially announced/confirmed the 6v6 TF2 tourney so look forward to that!
