What keeps you motivated to play tf2?

Since I started playing this game, I've wanted to become the best scout in the world, and that still hasn't changed. I keep playing and trying because I want to become a scout that's better than clockwork. I saw how good he was at the game, doing crazy ass shit like defending lasts against 3 people alone and getting 82 frags in that viaduct match and I wanted to be able to do it too. I know it's definitely hard enough to make it to invite, and even harder to become top of invite, and harder still to win a LAN, but I'm not scared of the fucking mountain I have to climb to get to that point. I'm still going to try, and I'm not gonna give up until this game is dead.

DougbiskuitLet's hope we will get the medals and it won't be like the last update where they added the new etf2l hl medals and we still haven't got themJust to clarify (coming from someone with experience organizing a league with medals...), it is not Valve's job to distribute the medals. They add them in-game and give the necessary information for the league to distribute it (which are some programming shenanigans that I have no knowledge about). So, gotta blame the league for not receiving it.
If UGC continues to be ddosed it'll be a while before any medals are handed out (correct me if I'm wrong but I thought they needed website access to do it)

A year ago I was offered a spot on some steel 6s team by one of my buddy jbird's friends. I started off as a sub and then their official scout didn't have time so I became a main. I did pretty shitty until the end of the season when I started to kinda come into my own just a tiny bit. Since then it's been nonstop constant grinding, and it will continue to be.
First ever experience? Well, I think it was a HL lobby.
