I've been seeing this a decent amount on Twitter, so let's move to tftv to see what the experts think.

this shit is pretty fun (even though it seems laggy at times) and is making progress unlike a lot of these tf2 mods

its basically quake with a tf2 skin

Quake -> Quake Team Fortress -> Team Fortress Classic -> Team Fortress 2 -> Team Fortress Quake

The circle is complete

it is indeed quake with a tf2 skin, however there are some changes and it seems like the super shotgun is virtually the best gun to use. you can just 1hko anything very easily

go try it out

The dm/arsenal modes are neat and seem to be the only servers running but the original gamemodes and classes are still in the game so I booted up badlands to see what it was like. Engineer can move buildings and pyro can airblast but it doesn't seem to lock air control at all. Every class had the dm air accelerate value but that can be changed in console, as well as enabling fall damage and autoreload. bhop can be turned off/on and adjusted with commands, by default only the mercenary (who can pick up dropped weapons and starts only with a pistol) can use it. There is also a TFC mode which seems to be a work in progress but is most of the way there gameplay-wise. I think it would be fun to play out some matches with different physics configs and maybe the addl. mercenary class or TFC mode.

This shit is so fun. If you like quake and tf2, this game is for you. Hell, even if you've never played an arena fps but love to dm in tf2, I suggest you give it a try. It's a pretty easy install for a mod, and the community is thriving right now, so finding a match shouldn't be too hard.
