you are going to buy an entire recording setup... but not a full drum kit? bruh.

also only 1 pair of drumsticks? Buy a pack please. And overall, drum equipment is generally very durable, and I'd try to buy used before ordering brand new everything.

Is there a reason you're not buying toms? Have you looked into the second hand market near you to see if there's cheaper, better options? You'd be surprised what great steals you can find second hand if you're a bit patient. Same goes for the microphones and mixer.

Are you using two of the 57s as overheads? They're not totally ideal for that but 57s will mic literally anything so you can make it work. Also I'd recommend getting a nicer kick pedal if you're gonna be playing a lot personally, but millenium stuff is generally always fine.

Also agreeing with the other two, a lot of this stuff will be cheaper and totally acceptable second hand

get a better kick pedal, honestly even a Tama would be better.

Telling us which genre you’re planning on recording (I assume recording bc there are mics in the list) would also be beneficial as certain types of cymbals are more common in jazz vs metal, etc.

also, toms??

You’ll need a drum key

Some people will tell you to buy moongel for the snare but a handkerchief/bandanna would do the trick just fine.

If you’re neurotic like me, buy a drum dial

Pillows for the kick

You will definitely need acoustic foam or heavy curtains if you don’t want your drums to sound like a Phil Collins record from 1986

Might come back to edit this later if I think of anything*

Would recommend buying things second hand, you can probably get a full drum set for the price of that bass drum alone if you are lucky. Even if the drums look incredibly worn out, they can often easily be fixed by just replacing the heads.

I'll see what I can find, don't have access to a car for a while but I'll hold off with the purchase of the drums for now then.

Would highly recommend picking up a microphone for the snare if that is not something you're already considering (just a guess based on your cart). Personally I like to put a relatively high threshold gate on the snare if I'm running overheads, so I can really get the attack sound out of the snare
If you need recommends the bands I'm in use E604s for toms (if/when you grab some in the future) and an Audix D2 for snare, and both sound excellent

was planning on using the SM57 for snare

also i looked at some second hand stuff and this one guy selling his drumkit has written about selling it because he wasn't good enough to make it into his career and now i'm crying

I feel like it's weird that toms aren't essential to whatever your end goal is, but jazz brushes are. Ultimately, your choice though.

SM57 is fine for snare, but for overhead, use condenser mics. They're a lot better for that sort of thing.

Never played on a Millennium pedal before in my life but if it's only 522 SEK ($55 roughly in USD) that shit is monkaS. Definitely pay a premium for a good pedal, it'll make a massive difference that will certainly be worth it.

I'd recommend get a drum key plus some heads. I use Evans Genera Dry and Evans EMAD2 with corresponding reso heads. Remo and Aquarian make their own versions, but they're all good from my experience. They make a world of difference, and if you go the used route, will probably be required depending on the condition of them.

This is definitely subjective, but in my opinion, there are shitty cymbals and good cymbals with no real in-between (with few exceptions). 101 to PST5 is an upgrade, but both are pretty shitty overall. As long as they aren't cracks (maybe keyholing depending on how bad it is), 100% look at ebay for that because shipping won't be ridiculous compared to full drum kits. In general, you can skate with a crappier hi-hat and ride, but I would pay a bit extra for a good crash.

update: got a nice tama superstar with 4 zildjian cymbals (new beat hi hat, sweet ride, A custom medium and projection crash) for 1300, planning on playing some garage rock/punk/surf stuff (i have a demo "album" on spotify which might showcase the style i'll be aiming for a bit better)
gib mic recommendations for overhead?

first off; really nice set! those cymbals are super nice and with some good heads + tuning, your set is going to sound amazing.

these are super popular and pretty common among people who uploaded drum covers of themselves on youtube / beginner recordings. i've never used them so i can't speak to their quality, but i'd check them out. i'm using these which i absolutely love, but they are kind of pricey, and if you are going for a more low-fi / garage sound, they probably aren't necessary.

I own them so I will speak to their quality! They are excellent, especially for the price. Used them for OH's on the following demo:

Here's a more vintage sounding kit for reference:
