Just tweak the damage threshold the game uses to pop up health crosses above players below a certain % of their health. It should be in advanced options.

Set the aforementioned damage threshold to 100%, and you will only see crosses on people without buffs. It might interfere with your ability to triage though. Alternatively, modify your hud so that when you mouse-over people, their name and health is shown clearly.

Not much you can do other than mentally counting it. If you want to check your uber % with minimal effort, reposition the uber bar next to your crosshair.

Trust me, you should at the very least try Broeselhud. Even without the tweaks that are very easy to enable, it is to me the greatest hud out there, especially for medics.

Broesel is nice.. But Deli hud is my fav for medic.

Love that hud. But I've personally switched the the OMP hud, specifically mangachu_s (old) mod of it. I like his crosshair.

I like omp hud - https://github.com/omp/tf2hud. It is a clean and minimal hud. I do have a some tweeks but they are not necessary for medic.

Besides brosel and knhud I would ask Blurr for his hud, if I didn't suck broselhud dick like a golfball through a garden hose, I would use his. Its the least obnoxious in what I consider "that" vein of huds.

KN hud looks nice, I liked shlaners modification of it (now he uses kbn which I dislike). Gmang doesn't look that good but the damage indicators and health numbers are really clear and easy to read.

I'm like the only Medic who actually likes huds that keep the TF2 look, apparently. I personally use EVE hud - http://code.google.com/p/eve-tf2hud/ It's like a cleaner, more efficient version of CommunityHUD (which I used to use and now realize how bad it was for a Medic). Use the autoinstaller and make sure to set the centered Ubercharge bar option.

I liked the first version of KNHud but 2.0 is bleh.
