G Pro Wireless lift-off distance issue

So I recently got the G Pro Wireless and I find if I try to do any kind of wide mouse movement (flick shot, rocket jump where I jump off a wall and then move the mouse so I am looking forward rather than still looking at the wall, etc) I lose all mouse control. I also often find in general the mouse feels jittery but I think that is due to me lifting up the mouse when playing (even a very slight amount, the slightest jerk of the mouse can cause me to lose control).

Possible reasons for this:
-Lift-off distance being very low (I can't seem to find a way to change it on either the Logitech G software or the GHub software)
-Low weight of mouse causing me to lift it up more than I usually would (less likely IMO)

I know a new mouse will of course take time to get used to but I feel I am quite used to the mouse shape/weight/feel I just often lose control entirely from the slightest jerk of the mouse.

If it's not clear already, I'm not particularly knowledgable when it comes to mice and all that shit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i got the g pro wireless after using a g403 with a 10g weight, i didn't find that i was lifting it any more than usual despite the weight. I think you might've just gotten a shitty sensor. mine has no issues whatsoever, but yeah you can't change the l.o.d., but i would just see if you can get it replaced.

so do you play with the g pro wireless with the 10 gram weight or did I misinterpret something? is it worth trying that?

I imagine you've already checked, but just in case. Sometimes if the sensor gets really jittery and things get weird it's because there is a hair on the lens.

no, i was establishing that i was used to a heavier mouse. the g403 w/ a 10g weight.

you may consider trying it, but the g pro doesn’t come with one.

afaik there is no software to change the lod on a wireless gpro.

I've read that the hero sensor has automatic surface tuning every time you turn it on which is likely the issue.

try a solid black pad that's consistent, those generally give the highest lod. auto surface tuning might fuck you anyway. I think it's just one of those things with that sensor.

thanks everyone who posted. I've found it's become less of an issue now that I've got more used to the mouse but I might still try it with the 10g weight. thanks again for all the advice <3
