Hi,

l know this might be the wrong forum but I wanted to try my luck.

Basically my nat type is stuck on strict in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 so I can't join my friends lobbies.

I have the router Asus RT-AC68U AC1900 with the merlin firmware.
Current version: 384.7_2

What ive tried:
Port forwarding
Enable/disable UPnP
Enable/disable Nat Acceleration
Enable/disable QoS
Enable/disable DMZ to my static ip of my PC
Turned off router and windows firewall
Reset to factory settings
Upgrade to the Merlin firmware then reset to factory settings

Have I missed anything? Feel free to ask for any info and I'll try to provide.

How is your internet provided to you?
Who is your ISP?

If you go to the command prompt with your PC plugged into the walljack you have and type in "ipconfig" what do you see?

basically I'm trying to find out if your ISP is giving you a internal address like 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x and the NATing you on their side.

My isp is bahnhof. It is fiber, I have a walljack regular RJ45. I do however remember that my isp only gives out private ip's unless you order a public ip from them so that is what I will try next.

My ip with cable straight into the wall is starting with 100.127.x.x instead of 192.168.x.x which it is when I've got my router there.

Update: I called my isp again and this time around the guy seemed to be a bit more competent. He set up a public IP for me and now my NAT type is open!!

Great that worked out for you.

Kinda scary that your ISP has gone the route of NATing all of their customers who're probably fucked cause they have their own routers (usually)... Unfortunately IPv4 address space is tiny and very costly because of it so ISPs are resolving the issue by NATing all customers at the same point rather than individually :/
