why has there been a spike in the number of new indie rappers with 'Lil...' as a name, and why do they all seem to brand themselves with disgusting face tats and/or colourful dreads?
it started off with the OG 'Lil Jon', and then onto 'Lil Wayne', but now it gets more retarded and edgy as the years go on
I'm talking about these dudes like Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Pump, Lil Peep, Lil Xan, etc...

I think it's because they started rapping as kids and since they were known by older ghetto folk they were given the title of "Lil". Logic dictates that they should then discard the title when they grow up but they're likely still very attached to those times.
