MAKE SURE YOU ENABLE 144HZ

https://i.gyazo.com/edddfcf76d222d3bb9450cd20aa78587.png

Click screen resolution

https://i.gyazo.com/a733c100b4c6f0f5b7d1cee1f863908a.png

Click "Advanced Settings" and go to "Monitor" and select 144hz from the drop-down display

you can go to testUFO to test your new monitor.
Edit: TestUFO might not work if you have aero disabled or if ur not using chrome

Edit: Also you can't use an HDMI cable and get 144hz, you need a DVI cable, which you can probably pick up cheap at a best-buy or someplace

If you have Windows Aero disabled I believe it'll only show a maximum of 60hz.

Your browser might be capped to 60 then for some reason.

If you're not using chrome or aero is off you might not get to use testufo. The site works for me though and I have aero off..

I was 100% sure I was too, however I guess last time i unplugged my monitor it reverted back to 60hz.

Skazniki went 6 months on 60hz without knowing i wasn't on 144hz

Did you not notice that there was no difference in your gameplay?

I'm just surprised making sure it was on 144hz wasn't the first thing you did when you got the monitor

Yo I realized for the asus vg248 you need to connect with a dual link dvi cable to get 144 hertz. It doesn't work if you connect you monitor with a hdmi cable

Honestly, going straight from laptop 30hz to actual 144hz may have killed me.
And that's why I meant to leave it on 60hz

What is going on here?

Edit: http://i.imgur.com/TiclVvH.png
Seems that if you have a second monitor enabled you automagically switch to the max supported hertz for BOTH of them.

Hey, I have 2 monitors too, if you use the control panel setup I have in the OP then you should be able to use 144hz on one and 60 on the other, make sure to select your 144hz monitor as your main monitor and choose the "extend these displays" option.
