chipotle probably has the best health practices of any fast(ish) food right now

ive only ever been there once and it was fine
its just a meme because there was a bunch of shit in the news last year about food poisoning, hopefully they have improved since then lol

they had an e.coli outbreak in one of the restaurants in CA as far as i know there is nothing to worry about

ya they got super shafted. they had one e.coli outbreak which was their fault, they cleaned up health practices and a few weeks later a story broke about an employee getting sick and going home (i,e doing EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO) but the media ran with it and made the whole chain out to be some disease ridden dump, even after they cleaned up even more, like far beyond what other chains do.

They had to close 43 restaurants over E Coli, not 1

Yes, closing restaurants who have received a bad batch of meat is the correct thing to do. The worrying thing would have been if they kept the stores open to try not to lose profits.
