idk where are you going?

theres some cool amusement parks/entertainment stuff in socal if that's what you're into but really what i like around here is the nature, but generally those places will take a bit of a drive and probably multiple nights, and would also probably eat up your trip.

you should specify where youre going and what youd like to do for the californians here to suggest if you dont want to just google

Depends on what part of California. If you're going near San Diego or LA, I wanted to go snorkeling and visit the caves at La Jolla since I heard good things about it, but we weren't able to go. If you like gardens, the botanic garden is cool. There are a bunch of beaches, depending on where you stay. You could go to Disneyland.

I was just in California! I really recommend checking out Monterey (the aquarium is amazing), and San Francisco is definitely worth at least a day or two. The museums there are really enjoyable, and the museum of modern art was tolerable even for me, when I had no interest in going originally. If you're into that sort of thing I wouldn't miss it.

dude idktoads_tfyou should specify where youre going definitely the coast, but not limited to

there are some coasts with some cool tide pools and the cities there are nice, but for main trips id say SF and monterey, but if you like coasts for the beaches and swimming and that kind of shit, the only beaches resembling anything close to a good beach in california are in southern california, which is a pain because if you want to see any of the different parts of CA, you're gonna have to do some 8-10 hr drives just from sf bay area to la area

idk if you want to do this, but i hear you can get some good scuba diving in montrrey bay, but obviously its not the tropical experience like hawaii or anything

personally i like climbing on the rocks and looking into tide pools on some of the more northern beaches but i can since i live here and dont have to make the most out of every trip

there are some good coast hikes pretty much all over, my cousin and her bf went on a hike around the hollywood sign which looked pretty cool, the trail was overgrown and such

Disneyland is the happiest place on earth and you won't find many places like it so I recommend going. SF and LA are two of the biggest cities in the US so you can't go wrong if you go to either of those places. Since you only have a week it might be tough to see both (6-8 hour drive or 1 hour plane flight).

The piers were always pretty cool and fun to visit. Same goes for Long Beach. If you're looking for amusement parks and what give you, then yeah, Disneyland is great. tbh, depending on where you go, there's always fun to be had by just walking around and exploring, checking out different places. You could easily miss out on somewhere awesome because you went off recommendations only.

Don't forget to get mexican food if you're in SoCal. You won't get it as good anywhere else in the US.
