Saw this on slickdeals. Best buy has the Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex Optical Gaming Mouse for $25 + Free In Store pickup. Link to Best Buy.. That is quite an outstanding price for this mouse which normally goes for $40-50. Thought I'd pass on the deal for anyone looking to try out a new mouse or in need of a replacement mouse.

I've used this mouse for about 6 months and I like it, and even bought a backup to use if/when this fails.

But a few things to note about it:

1) It has a very low LOD (Lift off distance). So if you pick up your mouse slightly or drag it slightly on an angle with the sensor lifted up partially this mouse won't track any movement more than about 1mm off the mosuepad. I used previously a Logitech G400 which would still register movement about 1/4" or 5-6mm or so above the mousepad. It definitely takes some getting used to if you lift up your mouse a lot, or are used to a high LOD mouse.

2) The shape isn't the best. Shape might be a little awkward at first, but IMO its fine after you're used to it.

3) Great sensor, buttons, response time, fully adjustable RGB backlighting. Very sold mouse if you take my 1&2 points into consideration.

Note that many G303s have a sensor-rattle issue (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI6UulAMWnQ).

I bought my G303 from Best Buy a couple months ago at $40, brand new, had the sensor-rattle. I went through Logitech's RMA process and got a new G303 without sensor-rattle; I did not have to return my other G303 (YMMV).

If you decide to get the G303, make sure you test for sensor-rattle and try the RMA if it happens on your purchase. I tried to return the defective G303 to Best Buy, but I missed the 15-day return period; the RMA process took about two weeks total, so there wasn't much I could do without the 30-day return period from Best Buy Reward Zone membership.

On a side note, I didn't notice any effect on gameplay due to sensor-rattle; both my G303s function pretty much the same, and the rattle is fairly difficult to hear without a silent room. I'll keep it as a backup, maybe try to fix it manually, or give it away if it comes to that.

Absolutely love it, it's a great mouse, and honestly a comfortable shape, to me atleast. I also have somewhat small hands, so it's not a bad shape.

Also, note that its still $80 for my fellow Canadians

Amazing mouse. Great sensor, amazing response time on buttons. The shape looks awkward in pictures but it's actually fine.

I switched from the DA 2013 & DA chroma after using them for about 3 years exclusively to the g303 bc the sensor and mouse button actuation time / force is amazing compared to other mice I've used (but could be placebo).

Great mouse, the shape is actually quite nice and totally not what you'd expect from the pictures. Try it in a store if you ever come across one on display.

mine had a loose lens ("sensor rattle") as well. decided to open it up and fix it by putting some double-sided tape in-between the lens and the shell.
unlike Eric's G303(#2), the loose lens of mine did noticeably affect performance.

although the shape is a bit awkward, it's a great mouse
