Years back I used to rock the ~2 inches/5cm per 360 as a roamer and didn't think anything was wrong with it at all (in my defense the mouse space on every desk I've had before this one has been a postage stamp)

Then I started lowering it little by little over time, now I'm on around 7 or 8 inches per 360

Looking back: there was DEFINITELY something wrong with it

With that said, of course to some degree you should use what's comfortable for you and mostly stick to something once you find it. But you should definitely experiment with lower sensitivities and move outside of your current comfort zone because, like me, you could find out that it's easier to hit rockets when a slight twitch of your hand doesn't do a 1080 turn and fire into space

if you are only looking to play roamer it may not matter, but since you said it effects your shotgun you may want to lower it just for that.

for a think 3 years my sens has always been high. i thought my sens was much lower tbh, but then i figured out that the windows sensitivity isn't the default and all this other stuff. i've tried lower my sens but it feels so weird to me. idk how people do it.

Just lower it increments and give it time, I adjusted from about 5"/360 to 20"/360 over the course of a few months I'd just play for a few days then lower it another inch or two. The main thing is you gotta give your muscles time to adjust to your new sens. Just keep playing at it'll start to feel a little more natural on a lower sens,

*edit* I'd also like to say you have to go extremely low or high for you to have an objectively bad sens. I've known decent players that can play on really high sensitives and ones that can play on extremely low ones. It's just about what feels right.

ya, if your shotgun is out of control then you're gonna want to lower it. don't try going straight to a sens 2x lower, just go to 4" to 4.5" to 5" etc until you no longer feel like it's giving you any troubles.

Just gradually begin to lower your sens until you have one that allows you to track and flick just fine. But don't make a sudden change from your current one (3.3) to something ridiculously low like a 10 in/360. Way back I used to use a 5 in/360 but as time progressed I moved to a 7 in/360. This recent season I began playing more medic and less demo and as I eventually upped my sens to a 6.1 in/360. Sudden and drastic changes aren't good for building muscle memory. WAR did a great video on aim and goes really well in depth about this, so I'd recommend watching it if you haven't seen it already.

there are dozens of threads on this forum alone about mouse sensitivity. obviously, not all of them are relevant, but with 15 pages of results, many of them have as much useful information as anyone could put in a new thread. I'm sure you can find 500 posts stating that sensitivity is personal preference.

smakerssensitivity is personal preference.

i mean mostly ya but there are biological limitations to this which we all, as humans, are confined to
imo anything <4" or >20" is pushing it
