FewOwnsWe have no intention of removing TF2 and we think with the addition of TF2 Matchmaking that we could do some cool things as TF2 continues to grow.FewOwnsThere is currently no space to include TF2 at our CS:GO lans anymore unfortunately.

second response was a response when asked about how esea would try to deal with the ddos issues during lower bracket

from the esea admin ama on the csgo reddit

good to see that esea might try to grow tf2 whatever that means but sucks that no more lans

Well, after the huge success of CS:GO, I can't imagine ESEA not keeping an open eye and being willing to invest into TF2, if MM brings in waves of new players.

There is literally no reason for ESEA to add anything addition to the TF2 division at this current moment. Its basically a waiting game to see if MM actually does anything for numbers. Until the numbers change, they won't change anything, which is fair considering they are running TF2 for no profit because they like the game and have for some time now. I really do hope MM improves the numbers because good things will happen with the league if it does.

If you really want to get esea's attention should probably start using their Pug system (that you already pay for) and their forums as well, that's what they care about.

Using the pug / scrim system and forums also adds a lot of value for new players - those considering whether or not to join ESEA over a free league will see the opportunity to get regular higher-skilled pugs and automatic scrims as well as their regular season matches. Adds a lot of value for a team expecting to get pooped on in their first season.

ya but the esea pug system blows for tf2 because any 12 players can join the server

whenever they get revived it's like 3 or 4 invite and IM players, some ok open players, and then a b4nny sub who bought premium just to play with him and if you're really lucky there's a cs retard who only plays sniper and goes like 1 and 40

CS players aside, that's no different from something like tf2center, tf2pickup, old IRC pugs etc. Lack of a captain system means first come first served but it isn't always garbage.

At the end of the day it's a recurring decision for users in a lot of these things - how much are you willing to use a worse short-term system in order to have long-term benefits?

its just hard to argue its convenience when you must have premium to use it and finding ringers for scrims who have premium is generally not something tf2 players have time for/care about

Don't most of the playerbase in tf2 have premium during season weeks? I'm not arguing it's convenient; it's blatantly not convenient and that's why it's not used, but it would help TF2 have an impact outside its own circle of influence.

saami don't know how using esea for scrims and pugs would change anything either though

they make more money off of players who buy premium for pugs than players who use it for leagues, and they have 400 open CS teams in NA alone. Now this doesn't really apply to the ESL Pro league for obvious reasons.

also its about the image for them, all they see is TF2 players using their own forums, making their own pug systems and boycotting the ESEA ones (or rather, just not using them because they are found to be inconvenient), a league that gets nothing back from its player base isn't going to provide anything extra to those players, there is no incentive.

playing on client = anticheat

this is without knowing about how good esea ac really is but at the very least the client screenshots so wallhacking is impossible
