Hey guys, I've started a Steam group called Toronto Fortress to make a more general and central hub to post information about LANs and possibly other TF2 community-related things happening locally.

Obviously there's a lot of touching up to do, and it's something I'll get to...eventually.
As I stated on the Steam page, there are some definite things I want to nail down in the next few weeks, and those are:
- A simple website with info
- An event page on Universe for the upcoming LAN in December
- A logo
You probably saw LAN, and you're thinking, 'Hidi, did you say LAN? When? We keep asking you!' The answer to that is; I have emailed Hunter and Lucas asking for a weekend in December. November is going to be a little busy for me as well. They have yet to get back to me. I may go over there one of these days.
If you're wondering about Universe; it's a platform used to organize events, and you can setup an event-specific page and handle payments through it. I was suggested to use it for the next event, one, because they take a smaller cut than PayPal, and two, because Universe has a mobile app so I can have one or more people handling registration if I need to.
Specific to this event: Who's interested in going? I would like to get a rough estimate, so please let me know.

I know I've bugged you about this, but could you keep the individual computer thing in mind when you speak with H&L (if people are willing to pay extra to have a comp for the whole day).

Yeah, same for after the 11th, and ideally before the 21st or so, so it doesn't conflict with family christmas stuff :)

I'm in! I should be free pretty much any weekend in December.
And I agree with Obi, I'd be interested in paying more to have a permanent computer.

If you want a 144hz, you're going to have to bring it. (Maybe I'll bring 'mine' hehehehehehe)

Anytime should be good. I think the computers are fine as is but there should be an option to bring our own monitor.

the setups there were fine, really you should just have an entry fee that covers a players computer rent for the day, thats the easiest. I don't think people coming to these events really care about any prize or anything, just wanna play as many games as possible.

DayNifeI think the computers are fine as is but there should be an option to bring our own monitor.
I will mention bringing monitors. I don't see them having a huge problem with it, so long as the monitors are plugged back in afterwards.
