I've been experiencing a glitched / problem thing recently where it tries to play the animation too fast and the server lags me back. Same with walking etc. I don't know how to explain it so I took a video of it. I believe it's my TF2 that's going too fast because in offline mode it does really quickly like the host_timescale has turned up.

if your fps is above 1000 the game glitches all speedy in offline mode, so check that maybe

My brother had this on his Core 2 Quad overclocked PC. We tried to play Borderlands Co-op and he was running way faster than me. Playing Half-life 2 on his computer was like playing on hard mode because everything happened so fast.

Any of this sound like what you've got? Might be able to narrow down the cause.
