Thanks for tuning in! Or if you didn't, thanks for not tuning in!

How'd you like it all? I really enjoyed the game, but if I'm the only one who thinks it's a good idea then I'll stop.

I know I was in stream chat and was discussed, it's a shame I wasn't aware and able to participate in the show as a call in guest, but it wasn't a big major thing.

I wear two hats in this community, and I'm passionate about both of them, being a UGC admin for 6v6, and an ESEA player.

Killing and I had a discussions about ways to grow tf2 and to more closely align UGC and ESEA. I brought the idea to a few of the more upper-echelon admins of UGC, and didn't really receive the type of reception that I would have wanted. Killing and I had a few more discussions, I expressed my frustration with the lack of traction I'd managed to acquire. I should also point out that not every individual I brought the idea to unreceptive.

Nobody was like "Fuck esea" etc, but there was definitely a high degree of suspicion and mistrust on the part of some of my cohorts that I found to be unfortunate, and more or less considered the matter put to rest.

I told a few people at the height of my frustration (because this is something I really wanted to happen) and the stories have kinda got twisted around or expanded in places for dramatic effect I'm sure. It's a shame something couldn't have been worked out because it would have ultimately helped smooth the transition to ESEA that most of the top UGC 6v6 teams will make anyways.

The 6v6 community is so condensed anyhow that we all ultimately interact a lot as it is. I know of several UGC teams that made the transition to ESEA, but remain in UGC in some form, and I know of several ESEA players that are playing on UGC teams as a sort of mentor.

As far as CEVO, I have no qualms with CEVO, nor do I consider them to be a massive threat to the UGC 6v6 league, because ultimately, when I started there were 3 free leagues to choose from, and my team happened to pick UGC and CEVO and really had no trouble doing that - it was especially helpful for ESEA as it provided tons of match experience, and got us in the habit of playing 2 matches a week.

Thanks for having me on! One criticism was that I felt we weren't able to get to a lot of the questions people asked. That was probably more due to time constraints however if we were keeping this thing within an hour. I went ahead and answered every question in the other thread that we were not able to get to.

I think Tagg's idea for getting questions on the forums before hand worked out great. Should definitely be repeated for future episodes.
Also, the trivia for hats was pretty entertaining.

It was kinda disappointing that ESEA admins didn't really get that many questions asked during the stream, I was definitely looking for some interesting questions and answers, but sadly that didn't really happen :(

You should talk a bit about CEVO next podcast, they're starting a tf2 league again, I've heard a bit bout it and am planning on signing up but i really don't know that much. Your knowledge (if any) on it would be great

Yup preferred the format, nice to have the time limit on starting discussion and good that you didn't have the stream open, meant you weren't distracted. I wonder if maybe it is an idea that you and cbear don't have it open, and then you have djc, or someone as stream representative. So it keeps things nice and smooth.

Keep up the good work :D
