It's interesting to listen to your perspective on jumping and why you enjoy it so much. As someone who spends a lot of time surfing I can definitely relate to a lot of points you've made. Challenging yourself week by week and looking back on how you've improved over time is very satisfying. Anyway, I'll definitely be staying tuned!

I think some people do jump just to get better in the regular game and that's good, its just once u get to a certain skill level/complexity it can only be about jumping at that point. so ofc every top jumper is going to say they jump for the sake of it and to get better at jumping, not anything else

I mean, people can SAY that knowing the advanced jump techniques is pointless/won't help you in-game, but there is a reason most soldiers in ESEA have a very limited jump portfolio, and while they have decent enough jumps, they miss out on lots of opportunities because they fail to "see" the jump, or their non-standard/on the fly jumps are just plain garbage. Seagull, Plat, and TLR, and other top soldiers could do most "advanced" jump maps without too much issue - and it showed in game.

Most roamers can't even do the optimal version of the process "fast roll-out" they love so much. They use the pillar instead of the door, and lose like 2 seconds walking - and that's the easiest non-standard roll-out by far.

There is a fast rollout for every map and most people don't realize it

#8, always when i try it with the door i hit my head on that ceiling and fail the rollout, so i always jump from the left pillar closest to the door ._. Maybe i should practice more ?

Yeah jumping is pretty fundamental to competitive play. I'll have a video on jumping in competitive specifically coming up. Might ask alle for his opinions too, considering he's one of the best demo jumpers ever and recently has played in prem in europe. I'll be sure to bump the thread with that video in particular.

Not sure if you already plan on doing this but I think you should take time to explain proper mouse control when jumping. I see way too many people throwing their mouse to rj and throwing it back to a random spot which makes it hard for them to react properly to their target.

i like your voice, you should do a series where you narrate books while jumps are done in the background. so relaxing. lol

Great video! I felt you did a very good job explaining the reasons behind why most of us started jumping in the first place as well as why we strive to constantly evolve the jumping scene.

Saw your video on r/tf2 today. Nice that you're getting recognition and putting out these tutorials. Thanks!

You're jumps btw... amazing. Great job.

I look forward to the advanced soldier jumps. Wall pogos where you have to drop have always annoyed me, mostly because I've never really learnt how to properly do them.

Also, maybe make this episode #0, and the first actual tutorial #1

You have to crouch multiple times in the air
