I like logjam but I'm pretty biased. Process, Badlands, and gully are easily top 3.

my answer would have been different if it said "favorite" rather than "best". my favorite to play is gullywash but process is the most well-designed of the bunch.

fightgullywash #3 on the poll and yet nobody has said anything in the thread about it

probably the most all-around solid map in the rotation imo

To be fair the map wasn't really balanced around teams having uber every 30 seconds and heavies being able to stop ubers by themselves

Of course, but it has also had some of the most infamous stalemates in tf2 for the 3-4 seasons before that too.

I have to go with Snakewater, just because of how its last stands out in my mind. Any other soldiers just love that sign outside of the right-side shutter?

process is king because where there are usually 3 chokes there are 2 contestable areas and 1 choke. imo all future maps should follow a similar pattern

also ramps n spires

I honestly don't see how metalworks has so few votes it is extremely well balanced, though the second could use a few changes

I used to say process was my favorite but the more I've scrimmed the maps, the more I realized that I really really love gullywash, I'd say it's my favorite now. Sunshine is also a very great map that has improved a lot with every update it's gotten, I'm very glad it's in the rotation. Badlands would be my least favorite without a doubt.

Gravelpit!!

Remembering the old days of watching Pandemic/coL/20ID matches on gpit ....God damn those were good times.

I absolutely loved the strategies and big plays people would come up with and how much time was spent into theory crafting shit....

It truly felt like I was playing something unique. ://///
:/

The final airshot battles on point C was icing on the cake. So epic! Fuck!

process, snakewater, and badwater from my experience have been pretty solid for every class

i think people dont like gullywash as much because a fast demo can shit on everything that comes through big door in midfights and pushing chokes are hard as fuck

Process seems to be the most balanced for all classes involved, if not a little bit binary (Soldier sitting in IT, Combo at Spire, and Scout watching Sewer is an example of what I mean) and that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Badlands is the high-level paradise. every move you make needs considerable thought, and you can't just binary hold most areas, which allows for fluid gameplay. Another thing I like about the map is while every class has it's place, the 6v6 classes are definitely favored. Would definitely be my #1 if I was better at the game.

Viaduct is a whole other beast entirely, and is very very scout/demo focused, switching out a roamer for a sniper seems to be where it's at for this map. It brings a feeling of expendability into the game, where losing a player may even be advantageous just to gain the point or push the enemy back. Also there is nothing quite like racking up amazing kills on the hill in overtime.
