I recently received my pc case next 210 elite, and when I opened it I found my the USB ports were backwards. this is my first ever build so I don't know much. Is it possible to flip the ports over?

Well, looks like you're fucked. You might as well just throw your entire computer away and light your house on fire.

Im not going crazy about the port thing, I'm just wondering cause I don't really know much about pc building, so I don't know if it's a just a manufacturer thing or something

you'll need to re-solder the connection. First rip the ports out of the case. Flip the right side up. Then just solder the connections back using a soldiering iron.

you should just ask for vertical ports so you can't tell whether they're upside down or rightside up

To answer your question it's normal for that to happen because (as far as I know) the USBIF doesn't specify the orientation ports should be mounted on a PCB. Most manufacturers/vendors follow a "community" standard, but the key word is most. Some people just want to watch the world burn.

Don't worry, USB-C is here to fix that.

actually it will probably just be another standard in addition to the 3 we already have for USB

so you need to flip them over, upside down, i don't really know what's the point in doing that, but i reckon it's possible, just remove the front panel, you'll see there are some cables, follow them and u'll find the ports, there should be some screw, unscrew them, and you should be able to flip the entire usb ports block over, if that's what you need
