120hz vs 140hz at 120fps

quicker? 120hz means a refresh every 8,3r ms, 144hz means a refresh every 6,94r ms. Now 8,3r - 6,94r = 1,38r ms, my question is, how can it be quicker if it doesn't receive anything to refresh for? it'll refresh 24 frames of nothing new. So if you use a certain Refresh Frequency, you need to have at least the same amount of FPS, in order to see differences, doesn't matter if you have more, it'll be capped at 144 (in case of 144hz monitor), this is how theoretically works, but if you use a 60hz and put 60fps cap, and then switch to 100 for example, you'll notice something is different, that's probably related to how the game works, and to other stuff, so basically it's always better to have a certain FPS amount above the monitor's max frequency, in order to be sure you're using that refresh rate.

Knuckles_Not at all. In game mouse accel is VERY frame dependant and is almost never consistent

do you know what his fix does, in the first place? because it's very unlikely that you will ever need it.
the only game i've ever played that needs it is the original cd-version of Quake 2.
(i presume they've fixed it for the steam-release of quake 2)
anyways, he updated his blog-thing to "The MarkC Windows 10 + 8.1 + 8 + 7 Mouse Acceleration Fix", so i would presume it works. my guess is that Win8 and Win10 are very similar in this regard. you could always just test it with MMR (mouse movement recorder).
also if you use acceleration, just use the one in the game it's prolly much better
