whenever i watch streams on my pc, they will studder and stop to buffer frequently. can anyone help with this issue?

think comcast has had a history of throttling connections to twitch

I would also try livestreamer first and install some sort of bandwidth monitor as well(my personal recommendation is NetLimiter)

Some streams lag for me in firefox, but work perfect in chrome. Did you rule out your browser, or does it happen everywhere?

i use chrome primarily, but it happens everywhere. i also uninstalled plugins that i dont need from chrome as well

For me this thing called Tardsplaya seems to help, despite its rather lame name. It's similar to livestreamer I guess, only with a GUI.

holy shit if you use comcast in the US and want to consume a lot of online video spend a small amount (couple of coffees a month) to purchase a good VPN.

Things shouldn't perform better with a VPN but that is the way things are with comcast as a huge regional monopoly in 'merica.

Just stay away from PIA and VyperVPN; ping spikes + Vyper's software is awful
