I feel like this would be a better place to give actual feedback over the limited twitter 140 letter restriction.

Sooo, I guess I will start. I think the screen tearing seems to be somewhat of a big issue(quite annoying), also when the replay comes on, is there a way to have like a logo/text somewhere to indicate that it is in fact a replay(the facecam with replay + caster voices live made me lose it for a second, Juicy Jim was speaking yet Lange's mouth was moving)

Had no idea where to post this. I guess just let'em rip with all your suggestions/feedbacks.

Unless they change how the stream is set up and how the footage is recorded for post-game highlights, I think we're stuck with hearing two casters voices. If they can fix that by tomorrow then that'd be great, but if they can't, I'd say just let the old footage play, and don't provide new commentary. If someone missed the huge play, then the casters' initial excitement won't be matched by some do-over in the highlights.

Is there a template of some kind in place for the instant replays? Definitely need to let the casters know which plays are going to come up, or at least send them a brief summary like "Aporia Mid 4k + pick" or something.

Edit: How about giving the casters some time to talk post game before sending them the replays. Isn't that how TI does it?

I have also noticed that the sticky bomb outlines are a long way away from the actual stickies.

The casters probably don't need to be on screen while the matches are being played. Seeing them before and after the matches would fit better IMO.

Please use the TeamFortressTV HUD ( http://strawpoll.me/2393812/r ). I also agree with what truktruk said.

Not sure if it's just me, but the gameplay footage looks a little desaturated/low contrast.

Also if fov_desired isn't 90, it needs to be. Viewmodel_fov should be 64.8 though.

I just hope they will read this thread before it officially start.

Everything they need to fix is already said.

Also, maybe checking the microphone volume for interviews it was dawn low when squid n harbleu talked.

I wouldn't mind health bars over the models, but seeing as how TF2's new update broke a lot of things and how the casting style seems to be general back-and-forth-from-player-to-player, I don't know if it'd be necessary.

I'm not aware of any client plugins being broken in the update, and I didn't notice anything wrong in the post-update game cast, so I think that the health bars should work if desired.

The VTV hud is way too intrusive. It looks great, but its just massive. It takes up a good fifth of the screen for no good reason and the killfeed gets cut off by the map scores on the top right.

Agreed 100%. There should be as little overlay as possible and the TFTV hud does that better right now.

There's so much more TF2 on the screen on the TFTV hud. Only gripe with this hud is that the charge % should really show next to the medics name too instead of only having the advantage % up top. I wanna know what percent they're actually at too!

Sidenote: you can actually see what percentage they're at. its just at the top. look at your image, red medic is at 85%. The little gray bar shows and number inside shows the exact %, the number on the right side of the bar shows the advantage.

Taggs latest vlog made it seem like the production crew likes the VTV HUD too much and likely won't change it. I really hope that's not the case.

I was really expecting a slight HUD redesign for i52 with VTV assets merged with the clean tf.tv look. Sort of how TOTH had a different HUD. Come out with new clean spectator HUDs for big events...

Anyway, clearly everyone behind the scenes is doing an awesome job and it will only improve over the weekend. But everything everyone is saying about VTV HUD is valid.

Wow I actually never noticed it lol. Still kind of hard to see and I like it better next to the medics name.

Higher game settings would be an improvement. Instead of low models, higher ones would be better

HueyLewisStill kind of hard to see and I like it better next to the medics name.

Putting it next to the player's name requires the extra space at the end of each player panel that is totally unused for anything by 10/12 players. The current method is much more elegant.

On a different note, I agree with the general preference for TFTV's HUD. Not only is it less obtrusive, it's also better at conveying relevant information quickly. For instance, the health meters in VTV's HUD are always green. They flash when the players are hurt and are a bit brighter when players are buffed, but green nevertheless. The target ID actually has no indication at all for low or buffed health values, and the health is significantly smaller than the player name, despite being far more important to discern.

The more clutter you add, the less the game actually feels like an FPS. I winced when the first thing Lange mentioned as an improvement on-stream, between the casters having their own camera and the gigantic hud, was "we need to add health bars and floating names."

^ Lange probably meant for casters, not for the stream.

The hud TFTV just used for 20b vs Blockback is perfect, imo. Percentage next to med name and no advantage bars (which are honestly just redundant information that takes up unnecessary space). I think most of us can handle the simple math to figure out the advantage one med has over the other.

Just opinions...I'm fucking hyped for this weekend :)

Never saw that one coming. But seriously, I thought the tftv channel had permission to use certain music since they feature the Monstercat logo on their page?

If they released this HUD after all these years, there would be tons of people willing to put in an incredible amount of time and effort. So.. please?
