we had the best weather in east tennessee
it was like september, it felt so nice compared to the last couple of days
and it was because of a hurricane, so i kinda feel guilty for enjoying it

First day of work at navy pier in chicago which is really busy on the fourth because of the fireworks.
Literally nobody knew what the hell was going on.

4th of July was always something special to me as a child, my family and I would sit down and we'd be setting off fireworks for hours. Now, the companies have gotten really cheap and the shows have gotten shorter over the years. At least here in Cali, the medium to bigger ones now last a grand total of 15 seconds, so this year our show was only 40 minutes. We buy about the same amount of fireworks every year and it's sad to see that most of the fun has been taken away by companies that now make cheap boxes that catch fire easily, may not work at all, and don't last long. At least the people in my community that buy illegal fireworks (bottle rockets, sky rockets, ect. are illegal in California) make up for it.
