UPDATE: We've rolled back the real-time stuff for now (because of inaccurate stats).

I haven't done any development on tf2 projects for a while because I started a new job, but I'm just about settled in and ready to pick up development again.

We're going to rewrite significant parts of the code so that we can implement all the features that you guys have been asking for.

Thank you all for testing SizzlingStats and being patient with the bugs/crashes.

You guys are awesome and have seriously made stat checking (and thus, improving as a player) very easy. Take your time, make sure it works, don't be stressed, kick ass. SS has been working pretty well as it is at the moment (I personally haven't run into any bugs).

is there a reason why sizzstats doesn't load when put in tf/custom/ ?

works fine with tftrue/mm/sm.

nm, works when i replace the path in the vdf with this:

I just migrated sizzlingstats.com to a server in Canada (used to be in France). There will be some weirdness for the next couple hours while DNS propagates.

Please let me know if something continues to be broken after that.

p.s. we are still working on the next version of sizzlingstats!

I don't know if:
- I fail the installations of the plugin
- My server providers bug with this kind of plugin
But my server crash all the time, when more than 5 people join the server, 50 s later the server crash :/

It could be that you have another plugin that doesn't work nicely with sizzlingstats. Do you run any others? If you do, look for updates for them if possible.

Don't mean to necro this, but it would be pretty nice if there were a way to link casting/STV to the match. Any thought to allowing external links that are placed in server-side?

Funny story: I triggered an auto update for the plugin yesterday. 30 minutes later, dropbox told me that my 20GB daily bandwidth was used up... so they temp banned my update links. I'm not sure how long the temp ban is for.

The plugin is less than 1MB for the update, and I highly doubt there were even 2000, let alone 20000 servers that were updating the plugin. Something fishy is going on.

Hey, I had some lag issues on my server towards the end of last year, so now that I have time to look into it I started running the server as a pub to get people on to run up the resource usage and see what was causing it.

Unfortunately I also ran into a crashing issue, with the server segfaulting regularly. Ran it with -debug and found they all mention a call to the PlayerHealed() function of SS:

Is it just broken when running with 24 players (it never crashed when only partially full, as far as I know)? Or is this something you might want to look into?

We just released an update which includes many bugfixes and 1 major feature:

Automatic STV demo uploading

Soon after a scrim ends, you should see something like this on the stats page:

  • Demos will be hosted for 2 weeks, for free.
  • To disable STV demo uploading, set this option in "cfg/sizzlingplugins/sizzlingstats.cfg":
    sizz_stats_auto_upload_demos "0"
  • If you are on a Windows server, you will have to manually update to the newest version of SizzlingStats (download link). You can check which version you are on by typing ".ss_credits" in chat -- it should say "SizzlingStats v0.9.4.0" or above.

Just updated to 9.4.1, this is great!

Since the plugin now does demo recording I removed Sourcemod's "Matchrecorder" plugin, I don't know if SS would work with it installed, so make note of this server operators.

SS automatically unloads matchrecorder.smx, so there shouldn't be any harm in keeping it on your server.

When trying to download demos from CEVO's match pages, the "first" half is always actually the 2nd half, while the "second" half is always actually the third half/round 3/overtime, which doesn't exist. I presume this is some coding error on lange's behalf?

This can happen when a team execs the config, goes live, then re-execs for whatever reason. It fools the CEVO web backend (which communicates with the plugin) into thinking that the first half has concluded. We need to devise a better way of determining this information, or prevent re-execing.
