i was scrolling through the app market the other day on my phone and i noticed that there was not an andriod app for this site. This got me thinking, since i am currently in the process of learning how to develop apps would anyone be interested in seeing this? It wouldnt be anything special at first since i am still a beginner but i think it would be a nice thing to have. Also if anyone knows how to develop for andriod and would like to help out feel free to send me a PM either on here or on steam.

I don't have any issues browsing this site on mobile \_O_/ the pages load fast and i use the sidebar for navigating between threads and articles.

http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/12972-tf-tv-app

There is already a thread about this, no need for more.

Basically this site runs perfectly fine on mobile (chrome/safari), needs a few tweeks, only thing bad that you can't view streams directly after clicking one of the streams on the side, but for that you got your TwitchTV app.

I thought about this a while ago, and came to the consensus that a mobile site would be better than a mobile app.

I talked to Enigma and he said it's a work in progress but I haven't heard much after that.

If this forum could be used with Tapatalk it would be much less of a challenge.

The dynamic size of the stream player is sort of a downside on mobile. I'm forced to watch streams on the (very laggy) flash player, since the Android app has once again ceased to work.

No reason to go through the trouble of programming a mobile app. Pursuing a mobile site is much better option because it can cover several different platforms.

While there isn't really a need for it, I won't discourage you from trying to make one - consider it a learning experience ;)

NinjaDCI may be wrong but twitch.tv using html video now if your on android.

It defaults to Flash when I browse on desktop Chrome. Is there an option where you can opt into HTML5?

You can right click any video you are watching, and the menu dropdown will tell you the type of video.
