They say that we have a the freedom of choice. To be unconfined in our choices. From what I've observed, though, the things that are significant, are reduced in the number of choices. For example, we have two predominant political parties, a handful of big oil companies, a handful of media outlets, a handful of big banks--yet we have countless fast food restaurants, a bunch of ice cream flavors that I wouldn't really care about, a bunch of cereals, a bunch of sodas, and a bunch of games. But what it comes down to is either, Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead 2. Those are our choices. And some people argue that you have the freedom to vote. In my opinion, it's not really voting if you can only put your vote on two predominant political parties. It's essentially voting for one single person, where's the freedom in that? I don't think many people care enough to subvert conventional thought--we're all too prosperous. Think about it. We go home, sit on the couch with our face fully engulfed by a bag of potato chips. We're so prosperous we like watching drama unfold on this site. It's hard to think of the fact that maybe freedom is a deception. It's been nailed into our heads for a long time. We sort of believe it, rather than think about it.
Something they also nail into our heads since the day we were born is that we all have rights. If you take a look back at the incarceration of Japanese-Americans of 1942 then you'll understand that we have no rights. They are all privileges. Japanese-Americans were put into the American version of concentration camps--simply because their parents were of Japanese descent, they were born in the wrong country. These are American citizens being put into concentration camps. They had all of their "precious" rights stripped away from them. Rights are not rights if you can simply take them away. They are privileges. We have the Bill of Privileges, not the Bill of Rights.

A few things that will pertain to the OP:
Whenever you say, it is my opinion that, I believe that, they say that, from what I've observed, etc, it makes me die inside. Don't ever write like that - it only serves to add useless crap to a text - you're either stating what you believe to be are facts (so you needn't preface it with, in my opinion, etc) or you're wasting my time. It does not demonstrate collegiate level writing skills. You can thank me later for saving you from getting your papers panned.
American politics are a joke, but it's more to do with *how* elections are executed in this country (by district, as individual candidates) than some kind of collective psychosis. It's very difficult to run as a non-major Party candidate because of the difficulties in acquiring funding and putting out your platform and message. Whereas, the two major parties are known quantities to most people, so it's easier to simply declare yourself in favor of the GOP or Democrats, rather than research any third party which will, generally, be struggling to get its message out, along with having difficulty participating in governmental and electoral functions.
It's also not a revolutionary idea that our society, which quantitatively presents itself to us as freedom, is built upon profound qualitative non-freedom. For example, in order to even have a reasonable conversation with a stranger we have to behave according to certain norms or we'll just freak each other out, hence freedom resting upon unfreedom.
You also present an argument about rights not being inalienable. Sure, I'll give you that periodically in US history, peoples' inalienable rights have been violated. I don't think there's a single kid that grows up in this nation that hasn't heard of slavery, Jim Crow, the genocide of Native Americans, the slaughter of the "christianized" tribes, or the Japanese Internment camps. That's not new or interesting information you present here - what I'd be interesting in hearing is why you believe this is allowed to occur and what are the motivations behind such alienations of supposedly inalienable rights. But you don't, and that makes me sad and also makes your post rather pointless and incoherent.
I'm happy to discuss complicated ideas on forums - but at least present me with an argument and not a list of grievances laden with anecdotes and appalling writing.
